Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Do We Really TRUST JESUS?

  • Family dinners.
  • Memories of shared moments.
  • Helping a neighbor in need.
  • Coffee with a friend.
  • Trips to hug those we love.
  • Praying down on our knees.
  • Quiet mornings shared with God.

These are the BIG events of our lives.  Although we oftentimes get everything WRONG when we go about our days, believing we are living and doing and saying all the right things.  We are not.

It does not matter people’s backstory, nor does it matter where a person currently resides in his thinking about God.  The Lord Jesus has the power to heal the brokenhearted.

“A woman who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years,
and had endured much at the hands of many physicians,
and had spent all that she had and was not helped at all,
but rather had grown worse—
after hearing about Jesus,
she came up in the crowd behind Him and touched His cloak.
For she thought,
If I just touch His garments, I will get well.”

(The Gospel of Mark 5: 25-28 NAS)

There is so much within this passage.

  • See the woman who had been sick a really long time.
  • See the way others had attempted to help her but only caused her to become worse.
  • See how her resources were running dry, how she was desperate for healing.
  • See how she heard about Jesus.
  • She immediately went.
  • See the large crowd of people pressing in around the Lord, so much that MANY were bumping into Him as he walked.
  • See the woman’s faith as she reached out her hand.
  • Hear her inner-thoughts.
  • Hear her inner-talk.
  • See the way she reached out to touch even the outer-cloak of the Lord.

ABOVE ALL ELSE, SEE THE TRUST FOUND IN HER INNER-THOUGHT—

If I just touch His garments,

I will get well.” (The Gospel of Mark 5: 28 NAS)

Do We Really TRUST JESUS—

Knowing He Can Give Us ALL We Need?

  • Do we “implore Him” through our prayers?
  • Do we pray, lifting up those who need healing (Both Physical & Spiritual)?

The sick, the injured, the hurting, the blind, the lame, the homeless, the lost—Do we pray for them as we know we should?

  • Do We Really TRUST JESUS—KNOWING HE IS THERE—ANYTIME WE BOW & PRAY?
  • Do We Really TRUST JESUS—KNOWING HE IS HERE WITH US—ANYTIME WE LAY OTHERS AT HIS FEET?

“Whenever He entered villages, or cities, or countryside,
they were laying the sick in the market places,
and imploring Him
that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak;
and as many as touched it were being cured.”

(The Gospel of Mark 6: 56 NAS)
