Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

It’s All Because of Jesus Christ’s Resurrection!

No wonder, believers in Christ Jesus get so excited at Easter, at the reality found in Resurrection Sunday.  The truth is the TRUTH!

Those who belong to Christ, who have prayed to Jesus, seeking His forgiveness for their sins WILL REST IN SAFETY & WILL NOT BE LEFT AMONG THE DEAD!

Those individuals who have received God’s Amazing Grace will not be abandoned in the pit of the grave, for they will GO TO BE WITH JESUS!

Yes, the beautiful TRUTH of the salvation Holy God offers to humanity is that Christ Jesus provides the only path, the only way of life, to ETERNAL LIFE!

Those who have been saved by GOD WILL BE IN HIS PRESENCE FOREVERMORE!

The truth is the TRUTH!

Those who belong to the family of ALMIGHTY GOD will enjoy THE PLEASURE OF LIVING WITH GOD FOREVER!

LORD JESUS, ALIVE THOUGH YOU DIED!

YES, THE TOMB IS EMPTY!

It was the first day of the week when Mary Magdalene and other women walked through the early dawn toward the tomb, where the dead body of Jesus had been placed.  It’s difficult to imagine what remained in her mind as she walked, but it’s easy to see Mary’s puffy eyes because of nights spent in crying, in grieving for what she had lost.  They had killed her Savior Jesus.  She had stood there at the foot of the cross and watched Jesus suffer and die.

ANGUISH and GRIEF; THEY WERE SO HEAVY IN HER HEART.

Then she saw the stone moved and the tomb standing open, and she immediately became afraid, so she turned and ran, encountering the disciples Simon Peter and John.

“They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.” (The Gospel According to John 20: 2b NASB)

They ran as quickly as possible back to the open tomb, entering where the stone had been removed.

“But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb; and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying.” (The Gospel According to John 20: 11-12 NASB)

The two angels spoke to Mary Magdalene, asking her why she was weeping.  It seemed so obvious; she grieved because Jesus had been crucified on the cross and buried in the tomb. All hope seemed lost because of His death.  Now the dead body of her Savior had been taken out of the tomb.

ANGUISH and GRIEF; THEY WERE SO HEAVY IN HER HEART.

“When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there,
and did not know that it was Jesus.
Jesus said to her,

“Woman, why are you weeping?
Whom are you seeking?”

(The Gospel According to John 20: 14-15a NASB)
  • No one ever expects to go to a grave and find the burial spot empty.
  • Every person knows the place where their loved one has been buried.
  • No one thinks about the dead body resurrected back to new life.
  • Every person knows that dead bodies remain dead, for death is death.

BUT JESUS AROSE FROM THE GRAVE TO NEW LIFE!

And It’s All Because of Jesus Christ’s Resurrection that we too can receive new life!

“Jesus said to her,
“Mary!”
She turned and said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (which means, Teacher).”

(The Gospel According to John 20: 16 NASB)

“Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will dwell securely.
For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol;
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.
You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.”

(The Psalms 16: 9-11 NASB)
