God’s Grace Creates a Steadfastness & Conviction, Yet Comforts Too
It really boils down to one single question, one question every individual must ask himself—
- Do I believe the Word of God & what Jesus has done for me on the cross and in the grave?
For the Christian (the one who BELIEVES), he has received a most-precious gift:
GOD’S SALVATION.
So, after God’s Amazing Grace has been received, the second & third, equally important questions every believer must ask himself—
- Do I believe the Word of God & the promises of Holy God?
- Do I live in such a way that my character, my words, my actions, my testimony speak it so?
God’s grace convicts us!
God’s grace comforts us!
- We (the Christians) cannot allow ourselves the liberty to live as we please.
- We (the Redeemed) are ambassadors of Christ in the time in which we live.
- We (the Believers) have every reason to live for God, pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ.
We who have received God’s Amazing Grace are to keep one eye looking for ways to demonstrate the love of Jesus in a lost and dying world, while at the same time, we are to keep one eye on the clouds, looking for the blessed & glorious return for our Savior & Messiah.
- What are we praying for today?
- What plans do we have for today that need God’s alteration?
- What person will we share Jesus with today?
- Who has God ordained to be within our life-path on this particular day?
May we (who BELIEVE & who are called the SAINTS of CHRIST JESUS) never forget—We are Ambassadors of the KING of kings!
The apostle Paul, a Roman citizen who was on trial for preaching the Gospel, a man who had endured years of persecution for his faith, he (Paul did) had every right to fear for his life. As a Roman, he was given the right to stand before Caesar, the embodiment of the Roman Empire, but the apostle was a man just like us. His flesh hurt when others threw rocks at him, and his body ached when others beat him.
Paul knew that his faith might cause him his life.
The Bible tells us that while sailing to Rome, there was a terrible storm on the sea, that all the prisoners and sailors feared for their lives, but the situation was—
NEVER OUT OF GOD’S CONTROL.
GOD WAS UNFOLDING HIS PLAN TO BRING SALVATION “to the uttermost parts” of the world.
Thus, when all hope of survival on the sea seemed to be lost, God sent one of His many heavenly angels to His bond-servant Paul, reminding him to not be afraid. Paul was to speak with authority—God’s Grace is Steadfast. Even the storm would cause them to run aground on an island, to go to a place they never planned and even feared going, God’s angel was sent to Paul, so he might be an encouragement to the others on the ship with him.
At just the right time, the LORD JESUS CHRIST will stand & return for those who have remained faithful to the end.
- God’s Grace Creates a Steadfastness, an Internal Peace!
- God’s Grace Also Brings to us Conviction of our Sins!
Nevertheless, God’s Amazing Grace Comforts Us Too—Until the Very End!
