LOVE so IMMEASURABLE
- God loves first.
- God demonstrates His love first.
- God offers His love first.
- God manifests His love first.
So, because HE DOES—LOVE FIRST, we are offered a LOVE so IMMEASURABLE!
Then, the question becomes: What are we to do with so GREAT a LOVE?
- We are first to receive His Love.
- We are first to accept His Love.
We are then to faithfully submit ourselves, our lives, to His Lordship—because HE LOVED FIRST!
We are to be witnesses to those who surround us—because HE LOVED FIRST!
Christmas is coming, and we know because of the advertisements and the overwhelming presence of Christmas decorations. Never do I put up my Christmas tree before Thanksgiving, but this year, I did. Laughingly, I like to say: “I was in the mood, and I better put up the tree while I am in mood to do so,” but that’s not the full truth.
The whole truth is that I contemplated the season of Thanksgiving, I found myself most ‘thankful for Jesus Christ,” and then as I rested upon that truth, it was easy to move from THANKSGIVING TO CHRISTMAS inside my heart. Therefore, if you were to walk into my living room, next to where I normally rest each day, sits my fully decorated Christmas tree; however, underneath the tree, one will only see the beautiful tree skirt a lovely Christian lady made for me decades of years ago.
- No gifts have been purchased.
- No gifts have been wrapped.
- No gifts have been placed underneath the tree.
BECAUSE, THIS SEASON OF THANKSGIVING, THE GIFT I NEED TO OFFER IS MYSELF—
MY LIVING SACRIFICE OF PRAISE!
The Bible encourages us to continually—
- Testify, child of God.
- Give thanks, Christian.
- Loudly share with others, Believer, that which the Lord has provided—His Amazing Grace.
- Do not dwell on our burdens, but rather dwell on our ‘Thanksgiving.’
- Lift up your voices in praise as the Holy Spirit works within you.
Praise God’s goodness, even as life-struggles arise, and allow your faith in Jesus to draw you closer to God as you “offer up a sacrifice of praise to God.”
Praise God’s mercy and His grace, even as we stare at the storm within our lives, and continually “offer up a sacrifice of praise to God.”
May we in this season of Thanksgiving—
- Not worry about what others think.
- Not become so human-focused.
Walk in God’s truth & Reveal our reverent fear of Holy God.
- Live out God’s will, not mankind’s.
- Walk boldly into each day, not anxiety-filled, but anxiety-free.
Let us march on—unafraid—knowing the Lord Jesus Christ has sent His Helper, His Holy Spirit, His Stay.
BECAUSE HE LOVED US FIRST!
