Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Prepared to be a Messenger of His Love

“The God who made the world and all things in it,
since He is Lord of heaven and earth,
does not dwell in temples made with hands;
nor is He served by human hands,
as though He needed anything,
since He Himself gives to all people—
life and
breath and
all things;”

(The Acts of the Apostles 17: 24-25 NASB)
  • What are we praying for today?
  • Do we ever think, ‘I bet God gets tired of hearing from me, as I lift up my small prayers to Him.’?
  • Do we ever wonder if God really cares about ALL PARTS of our messy lives?
  • Have we ever asked ourselves—Just WHO is this GOD we strive to follow?

If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of the abovementioned questions, then pause right now and return to the Scripture verses that we just read.

Then, after reading, pick up some earbuds and listen to the lyrics sung by Jamie Grace of the melody—

“Little Ol’ Me”

for the affirmation:  Nothing is too small to God because He cares about every person He has created & He cares about all the concerns racing through our hearts and minds.

“and He made from one man
every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth,
having determined their appointed times
and the boundaries of their habitation,
that they would seek God,
if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him,
though He is not far from each one of us;
for in Him we live and move and exist,
as even some of your own poets have said,
‘For we also are His children.’ “

(The Acts of the Apostles 17: 26-28 NASB)

What are we praying for today?

  • Are We Praying, Asking God for His Kingdom to Come?
  • Are We Praying, Asking God for His Will to be Done?

Our Lord Jesus instructed His disciples & us, His followers, teaching us How we are to pray.  He gave us a ‘model’ and ‘pattern’ because He knows our nature, FOR HE FASHIONED US FROM THE BEGINNING!

Jesus said—

“Pray, then, in this way:
‘Our Father who is heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.”

(The Gospel According to Matthew 6: 9-10 NASB)

Stop right there! His Kingdom! & His Will! & not our kingdom or our will. In reading The Lord’s Prayer, consider this truth—Long before we were born, God planned us.  Take a moment to allow that statement to really sink in, and then consider this second truth—Long before we were born, God planned where He would place us in the world.  Take time to digest how important your life is to God.

The LORD GOD, the CREATOR of all things—

Wants You to Share an Intimate Relationship with Him!

Mind-blowing!!!!!!!!

This means that we must pray without stopping, so that we can know the direction God is leading us to go.

  • Then when God moves, we will move.
  • Then when God acts, we will act.
  • Then when God speaks, we will listen.
  • Then when God pauses, we will pause.

Then when God . . .

Whatever God does . . .

We will be walking so closely, in such intimacy, that we will sense His Holy Spirit stirring within us, just exactly where God placed His seal when we accepted Jesus as our Savior and repented of our sins.

However, let us not become stalled there, thinking that this action, God’s salvation, is a one-time action, for God knows us.

  1. God knows our sinful nature.
  2. God knows our selfishness.
  3. God knows our desire to seek what we want.

God knows us, for HE IS THE ONE WHO CREATED US!

  • We were never created to ‘DO’ life alone.
  • We were never saved to ‘WALK’ today with God & tomorrow without God.

NO, we cannot compartmentalize our Christian walk!

  • We cannot separate our spiritual from our secular.

WE CANNOT!

God Prepared Each of Us to be a Messenger of His Love!

God Created Us for a Purpose—His Will.

May we never think we walk alone—

The Holy Spirit of God DOES NOT come and go in our lives!

GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU!

ALWAYS!!!

“that they would seek God,
if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him,
though He is not far from each one of us;
for in Him we live and move and exist,
as even some of your own poets have said,

‘For we also are His children.’ “

(The Acts of the Apostles 17: 27-28 NASB)
