Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

What Must We Do In Our Wait

“You can wait over there,” the receptionist said as she pointed with her hand to the small area to her right.  As she moved in that direction, every step seemed to jar her whole being as every step brought her more reality the enormity of her location—-an oncologist.
So, she did the only thing she could do—-She Waited.

“When will she ever see what she’s doing to her family and to herself,” her sister cried out to the therapist.  “It’s just so horrible how she’s killing herself and her chances at ever having a normal life.”   The substance abuse therapist had heard the anguish before, again and again, cries from the family of the oppressed, but not from the one consumed and controlled by the drugs.
So, the family did the only thing they could do—They waited.

“When will he ever realize that God is there, right beside him, protecting him, sustaining him?  How can he not see God’s hand upon his life?”  To the one looking in, the believer, it’s so easy to see God, to understand, to believe, to have faith, but to the unbeliever, seeing God seems so distant, so impossible, so unreal.

Therefore, the believers do the only thing they know to do—-they waited.

If we live long enough, then we gain so many life situations where we are called to wait.

Oftentimes, we say things like, “I don’t know what to do.”

We fret and worry, walking through sleepless nights.

We say crazy things like, “I guess at least I can pray.”

Did we catch that wording?

Did we see the list of things a believer should not do?

—–Not know what to do.

—–Not Sleeping, but worrying & Fretting.

—–Not praying; Not relying upon the power found in talking with God about a life-situation.

Life happens.  We have no control on how others react when life happens.  However, God’s children do have an amazing power residing within us, a Spirit who walks with us every second of every day.  We are filled completely with God, not a little now and a little for the future, and then the final filling when we die and step into heaven.

NO!!!!! THAT’S NOT HOW SALVATION WORKS!!

We are FULLY Consumed with God’s Holy Spirit AT THE MOMENT of our ACCEPTANCE OF GOD’S AMAZING GRACE & AT THE MOMENT of our BELIEF IN GOD’S POWER TO SAVE & AT THE MOMENT of our CONFESSION of our SINS AGAINST GOD. LET US NEVER FORGET………SALVATION IS——

Instantaneous.

Beautiful.

Love-Inspiring.

Ever-Consuming.

Power-Filled.

Constant.

Unchanging.

Faithful Forever.

We have God’s living Holy Spirit residing within us from the moment of our salvation.  The Bible is so crystal clear, so wonderfully assuring, and so ever-comforting.  There is nothing we can ever do to break free, to mess up, or to separate us from the power and love of Almighty God!!!

NOTHING!!!

GOD HAS US!!!GOD HOLDS US FOREVERMORE!!!

IT IS NOT US THAT HOLDS ONTO GOD, BUT GOD WHO REACHES DOWN FROM HEAVEN AND HOLDS US SECURELY!!!

Take time today to listen to this beautiful melody by Lauren Daigle–“Hold On To Me”

Lamentations is a wonderful book in the Bible to remind us of God’s amazing presence in the lives of the believers.

Lamentations is a reassuring reminder of how, although we cry out in pain, in fear, in distress……..God never moves away!

Lamentations is a forever-reminding book in the Bible to remind us how God continually holds onto us!

“Surely my soul remembers and is bowed down within me.This I recall to my mind,  therefore I have hope. The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning;Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul,”Therefore I have hope in Him.”The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him”      (Lamentations 3: 20-25).

Lamentations.

Do you see the word.

It is plural, meaning that we will experience more than one life-opportunity to rely upon God.

SO WE MUST…….REMEMBER……..God ALWAYS hears our cries (our laments).

SO WE MUST…….REMEMBER…….God SUSTAINS us throughout our THIS.

SO WE MUST……REMEMBER……..God SEES our distress.

SO WE MUST……REMEMBER……..GOD KNOWS OUR PAIN.

SO WE MUST……REMEMBER…….God REMAINS.

SO WE MUST……REMEMBER…….GOD IS UNCHANGING.

SO WE MUST…….REMEMBER…….GOD WILL BE EVER-SUSTAINING.    &

SO WE MUST……..REMEMBER……..GOD WILL BE FOREVER COMFORTING.

God was there—–AT THE BEGINNING.

God is here—–IN THE PRESENT.

God will be there——IN OUR FUTURE.

So, we do what we know to do as we wait.

We Believe.

We Trust.

We Pray.

We Know.

We Love.

We Remain Faith-Filled.

We Praise Him.

We Lift Our Hands High. &

We Thank HIM For How HE Will Answer Our Prayers.

TODAY…….LET US REMEMBER THE HOPE WE HAVE RECEIVED THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.
TODAY………LET US REMEMBER & NEVER FORGET WHILE WE ARE LIVING WITHIN THE WAIT.
