The Existence of God
Some people have never heard the audible voice of God; however, some people have heard God speak aloud. Whether audible or in other ways, when God reveals Himself to someone, it is with authority and love that He speaks. God knows what we desperately need, and God knows how we sometimes doubt when we encounter Him. Fear, Uncertainty, Indecisiveness are characteristics we might share even in our walk with God because He often moves us to do things that allow others who do not yet believe the opportunity to see the existence of HIM.
Think for a moment the opportunities we have experienced where we saw the voice of God through His majesty.
- Possibly we were standing at the peak of a mountain, gazing out toward the skyline, and feeling the breeze against our skin—It was then that we encountered God.
- Possibly we were standing within a beautiful church, pondering the intricate details, and sensing the quiet of the moment—It was then that we encountered God.
- Also possible, we sit with another person, maybe at their kitchen table, sharing a meal, enjoying laughter and conversation, sensing the love you share with one another—It was then that we encountered God.
Without any doubt, we should see the significance of each moment found within our days as opportunities when we encounter Almighty God for God is Everywhere!!!
As we do become cognizant of the reality that God Is Everywhere and how God is always with us—Emmanuel—then we cannot imagine how some think God does not exist.
God Does Exist—with us in the world that He has created for us.
God’s Word speaks of the existence of God, of his Grace & Mercy & Love, & Faithfulness & Guidance but do not believe me; READ with me & SEE.
“Now the expression, ‘He ascended,’ what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?
He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above the heavens, so that He might fill all things.
(Ephesians 4: 9-10)
God speaks to us in a vast array of ways. One day He spoke to me as I stood outside my classroom door among the passing of students. Another time, I sensed His voice when I sat alone at home, while studying His Word during a difficult season of life. We can hear the voice of God throughout His Word, especially clear as we encounter Jesus within the many chapters and verses. The Holy Spirit whispers to our soul, guiding us to His direction, to His will, and Jesus Himself proclaimed, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear” (Matthew 11: 15).
Today, I end my writing with this beautiful expression of God: Since arriving at my daughter’s house last Wednesday, I have enjoyed a beautiful time visiting with her. Then on Sunday, we attended church together, and after church, I took the 1:26 pm train to another home, to see a young girl God gifted me to know and love a few years ago. I am fully aware of the importance of my journey, how God has worked out all the details & how He has opened the door of conversation for me to speak with each of them.
Today, on the 1:04 pm train, I will take my leave from the home of the family and of the girl I have come to love, as I travel back to my daughter’s home. Before I leave, I will share many conversations: some important and some not so important.
Whether I listen to the voice of God when He speaks, directing me (as He speaks) is clearly up to me.
Whether I boldly speak of the truth found in knowing Christ when the Holy Spirit opens the doorway of opportunity, directing me (as He speaks) is clearly up to me.
I can be obedient and bold, or I can choose to not speak aloud of the joy Christ Jesus brings to humanity. Clearly obedience to God is our choice. However, despite whether I am obedient or not, several members of the body of Christ have committed to pray over the conversations that will occur during this journey. There is such overwhelming peace found in the power of such prayer. I am humbled by the faithfulness of their prayer.
The truth of obedience to witness is the truth for all God’s children. We see the existence of God everywhere, touching everything!
AS HIS CHILDREN, WE CANNOT BUT HELP TO SHARE THE TRUTH OF GOD!
The Apostle Paul spoke of this in God’s Word.
“And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.“
(Ephesians 4: 11-16)
