The Reasons, Ways, Places, Positions, & the AMAZING, POWERFUL GOD We Are Privileged To PRAY Through
Hello God.
It’s me.
Maybe You don’t remember me because it’s been quite a long time since we last talked. Maybe You don’t know me at all, God, because we’ve never talked.

So if You’re still there, listening and hearing my plea, then God I could really use Your help. If You have time, would You please help me. Yes God, PLEASE, PLEASE help me today. You see, God, I need Your HELP SO BADLY TODAY WITH……………

PRAYER IS POWER,……….BUT Not because of the eloquent way we voice our words.
PRAYER IS POWER,………ONLY Because of the ONE we pray to.
I wonder…..Do you pray? & You may wonder……Do I pray? Should we……Talk to God every day? Maybe we don’t talk to God at all? Maybe some would ask, “Does she even have a prayer life?” If the Sunday School teacher asked us, Could we even rate our prayer life? Would we rate it as Good? Would we rate our prayer-time as So So? OR Possibly, would we ashamedly admit that our prayer-life is even Nonexistent?
Do we pray every morning, just to begin our day with God?
Do we pray each evening because that’s what we were taught?
Do we pray only in emergencies?
Do we pray, thanking Him for the calm?
Do we pray asking God for His direction?
Do we pray, asking God for His hedge of protection around someone we dearly love?
Will we call out to God on the last day of our life?
Will we call out to God EVERY DAY of our life?
Will we never call out to God until we see Him coming again in the sky?
If we are already God’s child, do we set aside time to just sit still and listen to God Be God?
Do we kneel down each morning in the dark?
Would we kneel down in the bright of the day for others to see?
Do we pray as we drive?
Do we stop in Kroger to pray?
Have others heard us lift our voices to pray?
And when we pray, do they hear their names lifted in our prayers?
Has God heard from us this year? Will God hear us pray today? Maybe we have never (yet) prayed. Maybe today will be our first day. Crying out to God does not require skill or the right words. God hears us. He is there…..waiting at our heart……listening for our prayer.
Job was a man who knew God, & Job realized in his own life that whether he was in a time of plenty or in a time of nothing, God would still hear his cry. Maybe that’s why Job said, “You will pray to Him, and He will hear you;” (Job 22: 27).
Talking with God….such a privilege. Hearing God’s direction and call…..such an amazing presence. Walking with God, hearing Him speak, following Him as His words are voiced through Scriptures and through other believers….wow God, what an awesome gift. For, once we know God as our Savior, we can ask with boldness, knowing He always hears us. Whether we speak with eloquence, or even when we do not know HOW to voice our request, still God hears our prayers because the Bible says His Holy Spirit hears us, even in our groanings.
HOWEVER, what if we are Not Yet God’s child,
AND, what if we may still be wandering apart from God’s saving grace,
EVEN THEN, that is when we can cry out, & EVEN THEN, we can call upon God for His eternal salvation.
It is in that moment, God hears us! &
It is in that moment we belong to Him! &
It is then, within that most blessed moment, we can exclaim, “Our soul has become eternally and forevermore………His!”
The Bible is so clear. We see (in God’s Word) how James had much to say about praying to our Father. Yes, James knew how to direct us how to pray. As God’s child, we gain our righteousness through Him, through His saving grace. As we live, as we walk through this one life, we are gifted with others who we need and who need us. Every day, we talk with God, listening to His direction and bringing the needs of others to God, as we lay their needs at the feet of our LORD.
Suffering.
Joyful.
Crushing Sins.
Restoration.
Salvation.
Direction.
Healing.
Confession.
Thanksgiving.
Honor & Awe.
We pray for so many reasons.
Standing upon our feet.
Prostrate on the ground.
Sitting inside our car.
Cloistered within our prayer closet.
As we walk & As we shop.
As we read God’s Word.
As we drift off to sleep & As we bow to thank God for our food while sitting at our tables.
As we hold the hands of those nearby & As we lift up our hands to heaven, to One who is above all.
We pray in so many positions & We pray in all situations.
We pray on both the good days and for sure on the bad.
We pray and place our hands upon the one we love who needs healing & We pray for the one who is dedicating his life to the LORD.
We pray surrounding the bed of the one close to death & We pray at the birth and start of one’s life.
We pray & in God’s Almighty goodness, HE hears our every prayer.
PRAYER—-IT BEGINS WHEN WE REALIZE WE NEED GOD MOST OF ALL.
PRAYER—-IT BEGINS AT THE MOMENT OF OUR SALVATION.
PRAYER—-IT CONTINUES AS GOD CALLS US HIS &
PRAYER—-IT IS SUCH A PRIVILEGE—-GOD HEARS OUR EVERY CALL.
“Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray.Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the LORD; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the LORD will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much” (James 5: 13-16).
Let us see the POWER of GOD found in talking with our LORD.
Let us find the POWER of GOD found in PRAYER.
