Gratitude & Thanksgiving for HIS TRUTH!
There was one single reason Jesus died; He willingly died on the cross of Calvary because He wants you & me to spend eternity with Him. You see, Jesus knew exactly what He came to do; He knew He came to die.
Each Sunday at the end of the pastor’s message, an image is displayed on the screen that hangs at the front of the church, and though simple, still the image remains extraordinary for it displays a cross.
- Sin separates us from God.
You & Me Calvary’s Cross GOD
The psalmist David wrote—
“He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
(The Psalms 103: 10-11 NAS)
Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.”
- Jesus died in our place, permanently paying the price for our sins.
- Jesus died for each one of us so we would not need to be separated from His presence in eternity.
- Through Jesus’ perfect sacrifice on the cross, Christ Jesus died once for all.
- Jesus died for one single reason—to make us forever acceptable to God.
- Jesus died so that all who place their faith in Him—have permanent access & are eternally acceptable to God.
You & Me Jesus’ Death His atonement (payment through His blood) for our sins
“For while we were still helpless,
(The Letter of Paul to the Romans 5: 6-8 NAS)
at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
For one will hardly die for a righteous man;
though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.”
- Then the Holy Spirit raised Jesus back to life!
You & Me Jesus’ Resurrection from the dead Believe—Confess—Receive Eternal Life
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
(The Letter of Paul to the Romans 8: 11 NAS)
He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies
through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
The Bible is clear.
Life does not end at the cemetery. There is a future life with God, for those who believe and who have placed their trust in Jesus. Thus, man will never die forevermore, but will be even more alive 1,000 years from this day—All Because of Jesus’ work on Calvary’s cross and in the tomb.
- May this truly be a season of Thanksgiving for our LIFE in CHRIST.
- May we spend time in Gratitude, thanking God for sending HIS SON JESUS.
Even in loss OR Even in the difficulties of this life, may we allow our hearts to be filled with
GOD’S Generosity & HIS Kindness & the LORD’S Goodness.
The words of KING JESUS CHRIST speak only Truth!
“This is the will of Him who sent Me,
(The Gospel According to John 6: 39-40 NAS)
that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing,
but raise it up on the last day.
For this is the will of My Father,
that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life,
and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”
