Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Won’t You SEE What GOD Has Done?

  • Where did Jesus come from?

Even though it’s not correct grammar, still this question must be asked?

  • Who is this Christ in Christmas?

Although the season of Advent comes every year as we march toward Christmas, still the question must be asked?

As with all our questions, the LORD has already provided our answer.

Where did Jesus come from?

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign:
Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel
[God with us].”

(The Book of Isaiah 7: 14 NASB)

Who is this Christ in Christmas?

“But the angel said to them, [the shepherds]
Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;
for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

(The Gospel According to Luke 2: 10-11 NASB)

Many in the world call believers in Christ, “Crazy,” and, truly, we know the truth; we are “crazy in love” with Jesus Christ, for He saved our soul.  As we prepare ourselves for the coming of Christmas, the world desires that we receive this gift or that, but if we have received Jesus, then we have already received the ultimate gift—God’s Amazing Love.  Jesus Christ is the perfect image of God, and when we are asked:  What does love look like?  We say:  JESUS, THE GOD-MAN.

When others wonder how we can we be comfortable with our earthly death and how can we speak of this confidence we have for our eternity?  We say:  JESUS, GOD IN THE FLESH.

In this season of Christmas, when church pews will be filled, let us not be caught up in the presents, bows, dinners, and parties.  Instead, may we be caught up in the worship of our Savior, the Advent, the Son of God, the One who is God in the flesh.  May we speak boldly of the promised eternity where we will dwell with God forevermore.

  • Do we See God?
  • Do we Speak Jesus, telling others where He comes from?
  • Do we Tell the world who is this Christ in Christmas?
  • Do we ask our family & friends:  Won’t You SEE What GOD Has Done?

“God,
after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
in these last days has spoken to us in His Son,
whom He appointed heir of all things,
through whom also He made the world.
And He is the radiance of His glory
[GOD’S GLORY]
and the exact representation of His nature,
[GOD’S glory]
and upholds all things by the word of His power.
[IMMANUEL:  GOD IN THE FLESH]
When He had made purification of sins,
[JESUS]
He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty
[GOD]on high,”

(The Letter to the Hebrews 1: 1-3 NASB)
