People are everywhere.
At the grocery.
In the laundromat.
Beside the roadways.
Walking their dogs.
Standing in line to see new movies. 
Going to doctors and to schools, and to libraries. 
Flying from place to place.
People are Innumerable……

Yes, How many is that……..the innumerable?
And Yes, Why should we even care?
As the stars in the sky….that’s how many innumerable is for Abraham.
As the grains of sand on the seashore….that’s how many innumerable is for Abraham.

As the already saved….that’s why we should even care. & As the children of God…..that’s why we should share His gospel everywhere we go.

That’s the How & That’s the Why.

When God commanded Abraham to leave the land he loved and move to a foreign place, to a new people-group, to a place where the people spoke another language——Abraham did not complain; he obeyed.
Abraham was a man who prospered, a man with obligations, and a man of faith.    Have we ever considered what would have happened if Abraham had replied, “No, God!!” ?
Abraham was flesh and bone just like us.  He chose to wake up each morning, do a day’s work, love others, and walk in faith and obedience to God.  Pretty simple.
Oftentimes, we see the “what” people do and we think, “good for them,” but we do not consider the “HOW” and “WHY” they do what they do.   For example, How did Abraham obey God?  &   Why did Abraham see all the stars in the night sky and all the sand on the seashore and believe that God would provide a son for Sarah and him, even though he was “as good as dead”?   (Hebrews 11:  30)
HOW?     WHY?
HOW DID ABRAHAM EVER HAVE THE COURAGE TO GO? WHY DID ABRAHAM HAVE TO LEAVE WHAT HE KNEW?
HOW DID ABRAHAM SEE HIS FUTURE? WHY DID ABRAHAM HAVE TO BELIEVE GOD?
HOW DID ABRAHAM SEE HIS PRESENT LIFE? WHY DID ABRAHAM HAVE TO PACK HIS CAMELS? & WHY GRAB SARAH’S HAND, & WHY DID ABRAHAM HAVE TO TAKE A FIRST STEP?
HOW DID ABRAHAM EVER BECOME THE FATHER OF THE INNUMERABLE NATION?
Away from what he knew (in his present day)………&
Away from what he had known (his whole life)……..&
Away from what he was so comfortable (each moment)……..&
Away from what had been so easy (to step out into the uncomfortable)?
HOW DID ABRAHAM TAKE THAT FIRST STEP ?
WHY DID ABRAHAM TAKE THAT FIRST STEP ?

Abraham able to do take the first step……..for three reasons:

• He sought the better country (heaven).  &
• He looked ahead knowing (into the future) believing God—-through faith in God—-trusting God and trusting that he would see God some day, face-to-face, there (in the new place of understanding, of wisdom, where God was leading him to go). Just as Abraham saw God in nature, in people’s actions, and in his faith in God, Abraham saw God here in the place he called comfortable & in the “new place” God was calling him to go. &
• He believed God…….knowing that through God, his joy would be made complete.

“For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.
And indeed if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return. 
But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one.   Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them”  (Hebrews 11: 14–16).
People are everywhere.   When we arise, people may be present in the places we live.
People are innumerable.     When we go out, people may rub elbows against ours in the places we shop. 
People are innumerable like the stars and like the grains of sand. People truly are……INNUMERABLE………EVERYWHERE!!!
We are “the people.” We are counted in that innumerable tally…….Yes…….You & Yes……Me. All because one man (Abraham) believed God at His Word.

So what should we do for our brother, our sister, our acquaintance, our friend, for the innumerable?

The answer is so easy.
WHAT—We should lead them to Know God as their God…..it’s personal.
WHY—-We should lead them to Know God has created a better (more heavenly) place……through God’s salvation.
HOW—-We should lead them to Know God through Faith as we help them take the first step……to believe in Him.

People are EVERYWHERE.

ARE WE (the innumerable who already do believe) TALKING WITH OTHERS (the innumerable who do not yet believe), & HELPING THEM TO TRUST, TO BELIEVE, TO SEE JESUS?
