A walk through life toward eternity

Life-Burdens & How—We Do Not Carry Them Alone

Get an image in our minds.  Picture Jesus.  See His shoulders, just a little higher than our own.  See Jesus carrying the weight of our burdens on His shoulders.  They are broad—enough!  Strong—enough!  Powerful—enough!  We may carry sickness;  We may carry life-stress;  We may carry marriage concerns;  We may carry spiritual burdens;  We may carry disease;  We may carry sadness;  We may carry so many life-burdens.  No one gets a free-pass.  No one!

Everyone encounters life-burdens, but we are to always know—We Do Not Carry Them Alone!

It Is So Important to Remember.

“Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel,

My way is hidden from the LORD,

And the justice due me escapes the notice of my God”?

Do you not know?  Have you not heard?

The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth

Does not become weary or tired.

His understanding is inscrutable.

He gives strength to the weary,

And to him who lacks might He increases power.

Though youths grow weary and tired,

And vigorous young men stumble badly,

Yet those who wait for the LORD

Will gain new strength;

They will mount up with wings like eagles,

They will run and not get tired,

They will walk and not become weary.”

(Isaiah 40:  27-31)

Every day.  Every day, we arise, and our burden (that we carried yesterday) arises from our slumber with us.  It is there, resting heavy upon our shoulders.  We need Jesus.  We need His broad, powerful shoulders to help us carry our burdens, to help lighten our load.  Why would we not allow Jesus to help us today—carry what we have carried for so long? !!!

Reach for our Bible.

Bow down upon our knees.

There we will find God;  There we will find the Savior;  There we will find the Comforter, the Holy Spirit;  There we will find our burdens lifted, lighter on our shoulders as Jesus carries them with us.

“Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving;

praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the Word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned;

that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak.

Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.

Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.”

(Colossians 4: 2-6)

God chooses us to be His witnesses.

He chooses us to carry His message.

No barrier is too large for God.

The world surrounding us sees how we walk.

The people sitting beside us at work, see how we respond to life-burdens.

The unbelievers going to lunch alongside us, hear how we speak of Jesus.

The believers living among us, see and are encouraged by the way we rely upon the LORD.

Embrace where Jesus has placed you so that He may use you where you are planted.

Do more for God than you have ever done before and stand amazed at what God will do through you!

Cast your nets wide and far.  Heave them out and be amazed at the way God will fill those nets with so many.

We have been commissioned, commanded—Speak Jesus.

Be a Witness for How Jesus Has Carried You & How Jesus Saved You.

Jesus speaks the words we need to hear, explaining clearly to us how we are to carry our life-burdens, how we are to abide in Him, how we are to seek Him through His Word and through prayer, & how we show the world we truly are HIS.

SEE WITH ME.

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.”

(John 15: 7-8)
