Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

NEVER Walking Alone

What will we face today?

What will we face on the day after tomorrow? What about next Monday—what will we face on that Monday? If we are not sure, then what about on the last day of summer 2022, what will we face then? Okay, then maybe we know what we’ll face on the first day of winter 2023.  Surely we know! Right? So tell me, what about the fourth Thursday of February 2024, what will we face on that day?

We Don’t—Know.

We Do Not Know What Will Even Occur On This Day—Today—So, How Can We Know What Will Happen—Ever? !!!

We Cannot . . . & That is Why We Need To Walk In Intimate Conversation With the Lord.

God may allow us to walk through one tough situation, followed by another tough time, and even followed by a further difficult season, BUT IF WE BELONG TO GOD, THEN GOD WILL NEVER ALLOW US (or make us) WALK ALONE. God is the Father of the universe, the Creator of all things, and God is God is God is God is God is God is God is GOD ALMIGHTY! He is in 100% total and complete control.  For some, that’s a scary thought, but for those who know Jesus as their Savior, then the depth of knowing we NEVER, EVER WALK ALONE brings such peace.

Understanding the TRUTH how Almighty God controls the past, the present, and the future can bring present peace and provide a deep, abiding peace and calm.

Dwelling upon the TRUTH how the Holy Spirit of God resides within us from the moment of our salvation and will NEVER LEAVE US can anchor us forevermore to our Redeemer.

Thanking Jesus Christ for His amazing grace and mercy He offered upon the cross of Calvary should readily be upon our lips and within our hearts.  Thank You, Jesus!

Nevertheless, we tend to get flustered when we separate in our minds God’s will and our will.  Why do we do that?  Why do we even consider our will even something to be desired—if the Holy Spirit of God resides deep within us?

We cannot! We should not!

Great theologian and Bible scholar Charles H. Spurgeon said it this way—“When your will is God’s will, you will have your will.”

Did we see that?  Our will—must become God’s Will—Thus Our Will Becomes God’s Will & His Will Intertwines With Our Will—As ONE.  We are married together as the bride of Christ Jesus, and within any marriage, a separation of wills can lead to a painful existence and eventually to an unequivocal separation and even divorce.

Would we ever desire as God’s children to ever become separated from Him? We would not—ever! So, why do we tend to get flustered when our will is not accomplished, and why do we tend to become aggravated when God allows us to walk through difficult situations that He knows will grow us up in ways that He knows will prepare us for the next tough season of life?

We should not—become anything opposite than that which God wants us to be! We should not—ever!!!

We need the right view of God.

Let us repeat and recognize this TRUTH—WE NEED THE RIGHT VIEW of GOD!

Noah faced a storm, a torrent within his life; nonetheless, Noah remained focused upon God’s will for his days, and Noah recognized and received God’s will for his days (for so many days while Noah was shut up tight inside the ark with his family and all the animals).

Oftentimes, we are required to endure hardship for a long time as we walk within God’s will.

“Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky, and they were blotted out from the earth,  and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark.

The water prevailed upon the earth one hundred and fifty days.

But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark;  and God caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided.”

(Genesis 7: 23—8: 1)

God knows what we are facing and what we will endure as we walk within His will.  &  GOD NEVER ASKS US TO WALK ALONE or NEVER FORGETS HIS CHILDREN!

Whatever lies ahead, whatever we are asked to endure, and whatever suffering must take place, WE CAN SURRENDER TO GOD’S PLAN, KNOWING HIS WILL IS ALWAYS THE ONLY WILL THAT MATTERS!

Today, let us conclude by focusing upon the words of Jesus Christ found within God’s Word as Jesus prayed there in the Garden of Gethsemane. recalling how Jesus did not ever deviate from the Father’s will to provide a perfect redemption, the only salvation possible! Jesus Christ Himself faced the difficulty and anguish found in the cross of Calvary, and when the night arrived, Jesus demonstrated for us exactly what to do.  Jesus prayed to the Father.

SEE WITH ME.

Jesus asked for the horribleness to be taken from Him, but if it was God’s will for Jesus to endure the cross, then Jesus “fell on His face and prayed, saying,

“My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will” (Matthew 26: 39).

“And He said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death;  remain here and keep watch.”

And He went a little beyond them, and fell to the ground and began to pray that if it were possible, the hour might pass Him by.

And He was saying, “Abba!  Father!  All things are possible for You;  remove this cup from Me;  yet not what I will, but what You will.”

(Mark 14: 34-36)
