Cups of Coffee, Relationships, & The Truth
God is more than able!
God is more than able to meet our needs.
God is more than able to meet our needs out of His abundance of His riches.
God is able!
Yes, God Is!!!
Each day, there is one thing that I most enjoy—-Coffee. Even as I write this morning, already I have enjoyed the aroma and taste of my first cup of coffee; yet, that’s just it. I enjoy coffee so much that I desire more than that first cup. Oftentimes, it is person who sits across from us as we drink our cup of coffee that causes the coffee to taste excellent.
I find that I am a willing participant when certain ones (like my best friend, Julie) says, “Join me in having a cup of coffee.” OR asks, “When can we meet this week for coffee?”
That’s where my mind dwells this morning as God works in my heart—The ADEQUACY & The RELATIONSHIP we have with GOD as HIS children.
Coffee is most definitely one of life’s greatest gifts, and I love everything about coffee. I love the taste, the aroma, the warmth, and the talks that come whenever we sit together each week over our shared coffee. It is a TRUTH that we can Walk in Relationship with God through His Son Jesus.
God truly blesses us with His abundance!
Do not believe me, ever but ALWAYS BELIEVE the Word of GOD.
In his second letter to the believers in Corinth, the Apostle Paul spoke to them about the covenant promise God made with them, and he reminded them of the confidence they can retain as they lived within God’s promised covenant. Paul wrote—-
“Such confidence we have through Christ toward God.
(2 Corinthians 3:4-6)
Not that we are adequate in ourselves, to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”
Even when Trials & Turmoil & Struggles come up against us, we don’t ever walk alone. God walks with us through the fires, & (even more) God uses these life-struggles as opportunities to strengthen our dependency of learning to lean on God. It is during the tough times, we are matured, we are taught more about God’s provision, we are grown, and we are made more like Jesus—-Because God’s Holy Spirit gives us life. It is a fact, our adequacy to endure & (even) thrive during the hard times of life comes directly from Father God. Thank You God that we can have confidence toward God through our relationship with Christ Jesus!
Such an amazing blessing of God’s goodness!!!
So even as cups of delightful coffee and rich conversations bring us joy, it is a truth that the relationship we have with Christ is the upmost relationship we will enjoy as we live.
In the Old Testament, the psalmist understood this truth. Today, we can learn and apply this teaching.
“Your Word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You.”
(Psalm 119:11)
God’s Word grows us.
God’s Word opens our eyes.
God’s Word reminds us of God’s provisions.
God’s Word reminds us of God’s promise.
God’s Word sustains us.
Dwelling in God’s Word is so much more than just reading a verse or two or even thirty-two verses—just to say we’ve read the Bible today.
God’s Word gives us wings to BECOME the person God created us to be.
God’s Word makes us thrive as the Lord desires.
God’s Word—Power!!!
Our greatest need in life is not to just get by in life, OR to just meet people as they come into our lives, OR to just gain all we want while we are alive.
NO.
Our greatest need is Christ Jesus Himself.
In the Bible, Luke clearly reveals to us this love relationship.
“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.”
(Luke 12:32)
There is so much we can enjoy within this single day God has gifted us to live. May we dwell within God’s Kingdom today as we walk through every moment, every circumstance, and every crevice of this day. Let God find us walking close beside in deep relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ.
