Completely Sovereign! So, Walk in Obedience to Him!
“and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation,
(The Acts of the Apostles 17: 26-27 NASB)
that they would seek God,
if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him,
though He is not far from each one of us;”
IT was just there, in my vehicle, and I knew IT was there, for I had placed IT there and saw IT ‘there’ with my eyes. In fact, I had first found IT when I washed the aprons we had worn during our annual Christmas cookie making.
“What IT do you mean?” someone might ask.
Dylan’s ring.
When doing laundry back in December, I found a ring, and immediately, I suspected the found ring was Dylan’s ring because she had worn that particular apron when we were cutting and decorating cookies. So, I inquired, and sure enough, it was Dylan’s ring.
- She loved that ring.
- She wore that ring everywhere.
- She had placed her precious ring inside the apron pocket.
Then, she took off the apron, and left behind her ring, which I found, when washing the aprons.
NOW, HER RING IS LOST!
Let me explain. One moment, the ring was FOUND and resting in the palm of my hand.
‘IT’S so tiny, and I fear I might lose IT, so I better place IT inside a baggie,
you know, so I won’t lose IT before I return IT to her.’
So, that is exactly what I did (place her tiny ring inside the baggie and then place the baggie inside my vehicle).
NOW, HER RING IS LOST!
How could this be lost again, you might ask?
Truly, I do not really know, but IT is LOST and I cannot find IT anywhere.
As silly as this sounds, I am speaking the truth, for I cannot locate Dylan’s ring anywhere, despite how diligently I look. However, I will continue to search: looking underneath the car seats, reaching my hand as deeply into the crevices as I can, hoping I will touch the baggie that contains the tiny ring.
- Thank goodness, our search for our Savior Jesus Christ does not remain elusive!
- Thank goodness, our search for God always yields EXACTLY what we SEEK!
The Bible says:
“The God who made the world and all things in it,
(The Acts of the Apostles 17: 24-28 NASB)
since He is Lord of heaven and earth,
does not dwell in temples made with hands;
nor is He served by human hands,
as though He needed anything,
since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things;
[COMPLETELY SOVEREIGN!]
and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation,
[GOD ORDAINS WHEN & WHERE HIS CREATION EXISTS!]
that they would seek God,
if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him,
though He is not far from each one of us;
[EVERY PERSON ALIVE CAN KNOW GOD TODAY!]
for in Him we live and move and exist,
as even some of your own poets have said,
‘For we also are His children.”
Have we ever considered:
NOTHING HAS EVER OCCURRED DURING THE EXISTENCE OF TIME WHEN GOD THOUGHT—
‘MY, I AM SURPRISED BY THAT’!
- GOD KNOWS THE BEGINNING TO THE END!
- GOD KNOWS ALL THINGS!
BECAUSE
- GOD CREATED ALL THINGS!
- GOD sees us & GOD knows us—our past, our present & our future!
GOD even knows where I placed Dylan’s ring!

Not only does GOD KNOW & SEE US!
But GOD OFFERS HIS GRACE TO ANYONE WHO WILLINGLY RECEIVES HIS GRACE!
“since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things;
(The Acts of the Apostles 17: 25b-28a NASB)
and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation,
that they would seek God,
if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him,
though He is not far from each one of us;
for in Him we live and move and exist,”
- From the beginning of time, GOD IS SOVEREIGN!
- From the moment of HIS CREATION, GOD GIVES EACH OF US A DESIRE TO SEEK HIM!
- From the time of our conception, GOD PLACES INSIDE US AN INNATE LONGING FOR HIM!
- From the exact moment we are conceived, “in Him we live and move and exist,”
- From the second we Seek & Find HIM, WE BECOME HIS CHILDREN!
- From the time of the prophets, GOD EXPECTS HIS CHILDREN TO WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO HIM!
GOD created everything & remains Completely Sovereign over HIS creation!
For there is nothing in all of creation that was made without or separate or apart from GOD!
GOD does not need our help, but HE allows and gives us divine opportunities to serve HIM!
So, Walk in Obedience to HIM!
See how HE WORKS—through us & within us—HIS—
HIS CREATION, HIS PRIZED POSSESSION, HIS CHILDREN!
The Bible says:
“Drip down, O heavens, from above,
(The Book of Isaiah 45: 8-12 NASB)
And let the clouds pour down righteousness;
Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit,
And righteousness spring up with it.
I, the LORD, have created it.”
“Woe to the one who quarrels with his
Maker—
An earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth!
Will the clay say to the potter,
‘What are you doing?’
Or the thing you are making say,
‘He has no hands’?
“Woe to him who says to a father,
‘What are you begetting?’
Or to a woman,
‘To what are you giving birth?’ “
Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker:
“Ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons,
And you shall commit to Me the work of My hands.
It is I who made the earth,
and created man upon it.
I stretched out the heavens with My hands
And I ordained all their host.”
