What We Can Daily Bring to God
Life can be difficult. If we do not believe that last statement, then just step out of our safe cocoon and look around us at the world. People are suffering.
- People have struggles.
- People endure hatred.
- People are hungry.
- People have great unmet needs.
- People face dangers.
- People struggle with untimely death.
Truly, life can be difficult.
Nonetheless, the apostle Paul wished for the believers living under Roman rule to remember a faithful truth of God.
The Question: “Who will separate us from the love of Christ? . . .”
The Answer: Nothing at all can separate us from the love of our Lord.
Nothing means Nothing!
In case we attempt to name something here on earth that ‘we think’ just might separate us from God’s love, the apostle adds one final item on his long list so we (those who believe in Jesus) might never forget—
NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM GOD.
“nor any other created thing,
will be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
So, consider all the ‘created things’ in the world, and do not fail to realize:
We too are created things.
This is the fifth day of the first month of the new year. Tomorrow is the sixth day—the Epiphany (Three Kings Day). Many cultures in the world separate this religious memorial of the coming of the wise men of the East bringing the three gifts to the Christ child: Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh. This commemorates and celebrates the revelation of Christ as the Savior of the world.
Should we celebrate Epiphany?
We should—IF—we refrain from celebrating the religious holiday through ritual only.
If we choose to celebrate Epiphany tomorrow, then the Lord must be glorified in our celebration.
WHY?—someone might question.
The Answer is quite simple and can be discovered in—What We Can Daily Bring to God.
- We do not deserve God’s Love, but He gives His Love to us freely.
- We do not deserve to walk in God’s Abiding Love, but He Promises His Presence Anyway.
- We do not deserve God’s Salvation by Grace through Faith, but Jesus offers it to us.
Jesus Made the Way for us to Be Saved.
Jesus Gave His Life to Pay the Cost of our Sin.
Therefore—
Truly, it is impossible for US to separate ourselves from the Love of Christ.
Meaning—Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ Jesus our Lord.
Thank You, Jesus.
- We praise You.
- We see You.
- We honor You.
- We glorify You.
- We bring our gifts to You.
We Bring our gifts to You, Lord, today.
Walk in God’s love today.
