The Power of God through HIS HOLY SPIRIT
“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows:
- when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph,
- before they came together
- she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.”
(The Gospel According to Matthew 1: 18 NASB)
What kind of God does this?
What kind of God—
- Prophesies 700 years prior to the birth of the Messiah?
- Sends His Only Begotten Son to be born of a virgin?
- Gifts the world of humanity with His Son to a young girl betrothed to be married?
- Places His Only Son inside Mary’s womb before she knew Joseph as her husband?
- Allows a young, single girl to be “found to be with child”?
- Becomes Incarnate—God In The Flesh!
Can you imagine how the Christmas story would be celebrated today IF Mary had not faithfully said, ‘Yes’ when visited by the angel?
&
Can you imagine how the Christmas story would be celebrated today IF Joseph had not been a righteous man who had not wanted to disgrace his wife, Mary?
&
Can you imagine how the Christmas story would be celebrated today IF Mary & Joseph had not BELIEVED in the Power of God through HIS HOLY SPIRIT?
Even before—Jesus promised His Holy Spirit!
Even before—Jesus gave His Holy Spirit to His apostles!
Even before—God’s Holy Spirit was part of God’s Perfect Plan!
What kind of God does this?
- HOPE allows us to BELIEVE beyond all circumstances.
- HOPE provides NEW LIFE for our crushed spirits.
- HOPE creates space in a manger for the SON of GOD to be born.
HOPE!
The Power of God demonstrated through HIS HOLY SPIRIT!
Faith comes in a sequence of thought. It’s perfectly quite inevitable—
- If we believe in God as the Creator of the universe &
- If we believe in what God says in the Bible, the Word of God &
- If we believe in the Son of God, the One sent by God
Then—
We will BELIEVE in the Incarnate: God, Son & Holy Spirit, three in One!
&
We will BELIEVE in the Truth: GOD Manifested in Flesh—in JESUS!
- The Christmas story would be celebrated today so differently—IF Mary would have responded, ‘NO’ when visited by the angel.
- The Christmas story would be celebrated today so differently—IF Joseph had NOT been a righteous man wanted to disgrace his wife, Mary.
- The Christmas story would be celebrated today—IF Mary & Joseph had NOT believed!
Yes, the Christmas story shared would be celebrated today so differently—IF the Power of God Had Not Been Displayed Through HIS HOLY SPIRIT!
