Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Not Impossible but Prophesied!

“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows:
when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph,
before they came together
she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.”

(The Gospel According to Matthew 1: 18 NASB)

Christianity must be taken at face value.  Each person must decide one of two sides:

  1. I believe the FACT recorded in the Word of God.  OR
  2. I do not believe the FACT recorded in the Word of God.

There is no middle ground.  There is no place for straddling the proverbial fence, partially believing but not wholly believing.  &  There is no believing part of the Bible but not all of God’s Holy Word.

A person either Believes OR A person Disbelieves!

At the beginning of time, when man walked with God in the Garden of Eden, sin entered & separation occurred when man chose to believe the lies of Satan rather than the promises of God.  The Bible is clear about the TRUTH about the devil.

JESUS, the SON of GOD spoke these words:

You are of your father the devil,
and you want to do the desires of your father.
He was a murderer from the beginning,
and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him.
Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature,
for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

(The Gospel According to John 8: 44 NASB)
  • Every individual must BELIEVE in Jesus as the Christ—or not.
  • Each person must BELIEVE in Jesus Christ as the prophesied Messiah—or not.

No one every born on this earth may escape this most important decision because it is a matter of life and death—Life Eternal OR Eternal Damnation.

This Truth is FACT & Not Fiction!

The apostle Matthew was called by Jesus, and before he was called to become an apostle, Matthew’s career of choice displayed his practicality and his pragmatic mind.  Matthew was a collector of money, a tax collector.  Jesus walked past Matthew one day in the port city Caesarea while Matthew was doing his day-to-day job.  This man never expected to make the decision to leave his career that day, but Matthew did, and when (after Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection) he was led by the Holy Spirit to pen one of the four gospels, Matthew displayed his unwavering faith.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows:
when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph,
before they came together
[before they had consummated the marriage]

she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.
And Joseph her husband,
being a righteous man and not wanting to disgrace her,
planned to send her away secretly.
But when he had considered this,
behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,
“Joseph, son of David,
do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife;

for the Child who has been conceived in her
[begotten]
is of the Holy Spirit.
She will bear a Son;
and you shall call His name Jesus,
for He will save His people from their sins.”

(The Gospel According to Matthew 1: 18-21 NASB)

This Truth is FACT & is Not Impossible but Prophesied!

Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet:

“BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON,
AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL,”
which translated means, “GOD WITH US.”

(The Gospel According to Matthew 1: 22-23 NASB)

The prophets of God prophesied the coming Messiah, the miraculous & supernatural birth of Jesus, born to a virgin.

  • Every individual must BELIEVE in Jesus as the Christ—or not.
  • Each person must BELIEVE in Jesus Christ as the prophesied Messiah—or not.

The prophecy proclaimed is REALITY!

The prophecy stated is 100% FACT!

God is with us!

This TRUTH, this FACT is Not Impossible but Prophesied!

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign:
Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son,
and she will call His name Immanuel.”

(The Book of Isaiah 7: 14 NASB)
