The Facts—He Came & He Is Coming Again!
Last month, my niece birthed a new baby, a beautiful little girl. I was not present in the room at this little one’s conception or birth, but I have held her in my arms—She exists!
A few months ago, our daughter shared her exiting news with us. She is having a baby, and recently, she has learned the gender of the baby; we are having a grandson. Woo-hoo!!
Now, I was not present at his conception, and when the time comes for his birth, I will probably be found pacing in the waiting room. Although I have not yet held this little guy, I have seen images of his tiny body and our daughter’s protruding stomach; thus, I assuredly can exclaim—He exists!
In this Season of Advent, we celebrate the birth of Jesus. The apostle John was not present in Bethlehem when Jesus was born in a manger, and John the apostle was not present with John the Baptist prior to the birth of Jesus, when John the Baptist testified about the coming Messiah.
Nevertheless—Jesus came!
The Season of Advent remains a beautiful time on earth because we celebrate the birth of the Savior, who the prophets spoke of throughout the Old Testament. This storied birth is not Fiction, but this is the Truth, the Fact—He Came!
The Second Coming of Jesus remains a future promise because we praise and celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, who the apostles testified about throughout the New Testament. This future HOPE is not Fiction, but the Truth, the Fact—He Is Coming Again!
However, there is a danger every person alive faces because he may elect to walk throughout his entire life in a state of unbelief. The apostle John emphatically proclaimed the truth because he had seen, touched, walked near, and heard the voice of Jesus.
Once the Holy Spirit of God convicts our soul, once we SEE JESUS with our spiritual eyes, there remains but one requirement to receive the future HOPE the apostle John records within his gospel; a person must receive the GRACE of GOD!
- A person must admit the truth—Jesus is the Messiah and Savior.
- A person must believe the truth—Jesus died, was buried in the tomb, and three days later resurrected to New Life.
- A person must confess his sins committed against God, repent of his sins, and ask—Jesus to become His Savior and Lord.
These are the Facts—He Came & He Is Coming Again!
Let us live by Grace through Faith, in quietness, in confidence, and in complete dependence—JESUS CHRIST—HE IS ALL WE NEED—FOR LIFE EVERLASTING!
