A walk through life toward eternity

Furthermore—Share Jesus, One Conversation at a Time

“God, furthermore, said to Moses,
“Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel,
‘The LORD, the God of your fathers,
the God of Abraham,
the God of Isaac, and
the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’
This is My name forever, and
this is My memorial-name to all generations.”

(Exodus 3: 15 NASB)

This is God’s name forever.

Our relationship with God is the most important relationship in our lives!

Did we catch the significance of this statement?

  • Our relationship with God—
  • Is the most important relationship—
  • In our lives!

Furthermore, this is how we are to remember God & how we are to share Him with our children, our family, our co-workers, our neighbors, and with those we meet in our daily conversations.

&

Nothing is more personal than a person’s name.  In my English class at the university, I assigned my students the task of writing about the origination of their names (first, middle, last, nicknames, pet names).  Several of my students have numerous names to consider when writing about their names, and I vividly remember one young student, years ago, whose identity was comprised by seven names.  This young man’s first name was Mohammed, and he wrote about how his identity was found in the Muslim culture, which each particular name designated to him by his rich history.  This young man was proud of his name.

Today, I wonder how many people do we encounter daily who need to hear our testimony?

  • God is accessible!
  • God is approachable!
  • One can call on God by His name!
  • One can call & one can know God; He is that close to us!

‘The LORD, the God of your fathers,
the God of Abraham,
the God of Isaac, and
the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’
This is My name forever, and
this is My memorial-name to all generations.”

(Exodus 3: 15b NASB)

Furthermore—God commands us to never forget the consequences we will face if we disregard God’s Holy name.  Jehovah provides His Commandments for us to follow.

“You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain,
for the LORD will not leave him unpunished
who takes His name in vain.”

 (Exodus 20: 7 NASB)

God calls us to Himself personally.

Our walk with Jesus is paramount to all other things we do!

Did we catch that?

  • Our walk with Jesus—
  • Is paramount—
  • To all other things we do!

If we feel overwhelmed by the task God has given us to do, then we must never forget—

HE IS WITH US & WE ARE NEVER ALONE!

Furthermore, We Must Share Jesus, One Conversation at a Time.

This is Jesus’ Great Commission given to His disciples before He ascended back to heaven after His resurrection from the dead.

Have we ever considered the fact—Nothing has ever occurred to God for He knows all things past, present & future.

  • God sees us & God knows where we have been & what we have done.
  • God sees us & God offers His Grace to all people who willingly receive Him in Jesus.
  • God sees us & God wants us to focus on the love He has for us.
  • God wants all mankind to come to know Him & to be His children.

“that they would seek God,
if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him,
though He is not far from each one of us;
for in Him we live and move and exist,

as even some of your own poets have said,
‘For we also are His children.’
“Being then the children of God,
we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone,
an image formed by the art and thought of man.”

(The Acts of the Apostles 17: 27-29 NASB)
