God’s Wonderful Kindness & Mercy for All!
“On that day, when evening came, He said to them,
(Mark 4: 35-36 NASB)
“Let us go over to the other side.”
Leaving the crowd, they took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was;
and the other boats were with Him.”
Since I was a child, the parable of Jesus calming the storm has been a story taught to me. We know the details of the story.
We know—
- Jesus is with His disciples in the boat.
- A storm erupts on the sea.
- The waves were breaking overtop the sides of the boat.
- Jesus was asleep in the boat, while the disciples were fearful they were going to perish.
- The disciples wake Jesus & accuse Him of not caring about their distress.
- Jesus gets up.
- Jesus speaks to the wind & sea.
Jesus said: “Hush, be still.”
“And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.” (Mark 4: 39b NASB)
Since I was a child, this has been my focus—Jesus speaking to the storm and that His disciples lacked faith.
- Winds.
- Waves.
- Chaos.
- Failures.
- Sickness.
Trials will come to our lives, but EVERYTHING BOWS TO HIS WILL!
- Struggles.
- Fears.
- Prayers that seem unanswered.
- Futures that seem scary.
- Job Loss
The “HUSH” JESUS SPEAKS IS ALWAYS SUFFICIENT FOR ALL!
If that were not so, then the storm would have continued to toss the other boats filled with all the other fishermen that were on the sea that evening. When Jesus stood and spoke, HIS “HUSH” STOPPED THE STORM FOR EVERY SINGLE PERSON CAUGHT WITHIN THE MIDST OF THAT STORM!
Consider for moment these two details:
- When Jesus speaks, the universe obeys!
- When Jesus speaks, the storm never fails to stop!
- When Jesus speaks, God’s Wonderful Kindness & Mercy is for All!

- Jesus is NEVER not working!
- NEVER does Jesus NOT keeps His Promises!
- We can NEVER be too far from God that His Mercy cannot reach us!
- There is NEVER a sinner too far for God’s Mercy & Grace to reach!
- Once we come to accept Jesus as our Savior, the Father will NEVER leave us!
- God will NEVER abandon His children!
- The LORD will NEVER stop holding onto those who give their hearts to Him!
- Our Father will NEVER let us down!
May we NEVER forget—God’s Wonderful Kindness & Mercy—IS EXTENDED TO ALL PEOPLE!
- Even when others seem so far from the Savior (even in the other boats), HIS “HUSH” STOPPED THE STORM FOR ALL WHO WERE CAUGHT WITHIN THE MIDST OF THE STORM!
- Even when trials come to our lives, HIS “HUSH” IS ABLE TO STOP OUR STORM!
- Even when the fires seem to burn so hot, HIS “HUSH” WILL ALWAYS BE ENOUGH!
- Even when in the storm, HIS “HUSH” BRINGS CALM!
- May we NEVER forget!
