Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

(You & I Must!) UNDERSTAND what HE did for each of us!

“The eyes of the LORD are
toward the righteous,
And His
ears are toward
their cry for help.
The
face of the LORD is
against evildoers,
To eliminate the memory of
them from the earth.
The righteous cry out, and
the LORD hears
And rescues
them from
all their troubles.
The LORD is near to the
brokenhearted
And saves those who are
crushed in spirit.
The afflictions of the
righteous are many,
But
the LORD rescues him
from them all.
He protects all his bones,
Not one of them is broken.
Evil will bring death to the wicked,
And those who hate the righteous
will suffer for their guilt.
The LORD redeems the souls
of His servants,

And none of those who take refuge
in Him will suffer for their guilt.”

(Psalm 34: 15-22 NASB)

If we know something about the life of David, then we know stories of instances when he was able to overcome difficulties.  Time and again, David’s life was spared.  In the LORD’S might, this one-time young shepherd boy, anointed by the prophet to become the king of Israel, understood the TRUTH of a life shared with the LORD.  David certainly believed and relied on and allowed the LORD to protect him:  in times of fleeing for his life, in times of pretending insanity, in times of distress over his personal sin, in times of friendships, in times of fighting giants that stood up against him, and even in times of loss.  Without a doubt, David (the shepherd boy turned king of Israel turned warrior turned psalm-writer—understood the TRUTH of a life shared with the LORD.

It is imperative that we SEE what HE did for mankind—for you & for me & for every person!

(You & I Must!) UNDERSTAND what HE did for each of us!

  • Most definitely, we are rich!
  • Most assuredly, we are indebted to God!
  • Most truly, we have received the LORD’s mercy and grace!
  • Most beautifully, we have been gifted with the righteousness of our Savior Jesus!
  • Most humbly, we have been forgiven of our sins!
  • Most wonderfully, we have been adopted into the family of God as joint heirs with Christ!
  • Most gloriously, we have been sealed by the Holy Spirit of God at the moment of our salvation!

& finally—

  • Most victoriously, we will soon step into heaven when the LORD calls us home—where our inheritance awaits—ETERNITY WITH JESUS CHRIST!

Without a doubt, David—understood the TRUTH of a life shared with the LORD.

Without a doubt, we too must—understand the TRUTH of a life shared with the LORD.

In writing to the believers (the saints and the faithful) living in Ephesus, the Apostle Paul wished to remind them of all the many gifts of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Do not believe my words but read with me the Word of God & believe the truth found in Almighty God.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
just as
He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him.  In love
He predestined us to adoption as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
to the praise of the glory of His grace, with which
He favored us in the Beloved.
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to the riches of His grace
which
He lavished on us.  In all wisdom and insight
He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He set forth in Him,
regarding
His plan of the fullness of the times, to bring all things together in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth.
In Him we also have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things in accordance with the plan of His will,
to the end that we who were the first to
hope in the Christ would be to the praise of His glory.
In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of the promise,
who is the first installment of our inheritance, in regard to
the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.”

(Ephesians 1: 3-14 NASB)

Thus, may we lift our hands and our voices, understanding what HE did for each of us ! ! !

As we might know, there is a melody by DOE that reminds us how GOD TRULY IS—“So Good.”

“(We are) Ever sustained/

(HE is) More than enough/

(JESUS is) All that I need/

(GOD it is YOU) [will always] Hold me together in (YOUR) perfect peace!”

  • He blessed us.
  • He chose us.
  • He predestined us.
  • He favored us.
  • He forgave us.
  • He lavished us.
  • He made known to us the mystery of His salvation.
  • He sealed us.

(Truly, You & I Must!)—UNDERSTAND what HE did for each of us!
