Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Imagine: Who We Will See & What We Will See!

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth;
for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.”

(Revelation 21: 1 NASB)

May we pause right here and attempt within our human mind to grasp the scene to come, one that has been promised since the beginning of time.

  • No longer any sea!
  • The first earth—gone!
  • The first heaven—gone!
  • A new heaven & a new earth—Here Forevermore!

May we look around (within our human mind) & see the faces of those we know who will be there.

  • Abraham and his wife Sarah—they will be there!
  • Moses and his brother Aaron—they will be there!
  • Elijah and Elisha—they will be there!
  • Noah and his wife—they will be there!
  • Daniel & the three Hebrew boys—they will be there!
  • David & Jonathan (King Saul’s son)—they will be there!
  • Isaiah & Jeremiah & Nehemiah & Ezra & Micah & Malachi & all the prophets who were sent to proclaim the coming of the Messiah—they will be there!
  • Peter, James, John, Andrew, Matthew, John Mark, Dr. Luke, & all the other apostles (minus Judas)—they will be there!
  • Mary Magdalene & the woman at the well & Rahab the former prostitute & Martha & her sister Mary & Jesus’ mother Mary & the widow woman who gave all she had & Anna & all the others who saw and who were made new by Jesus—they will be there!
  • Apostle Paul will be there & young preacher Timothy—they too will be there!

Today, we are assured who we will see there, but let us pause to ask:

  • Will our neighbor who lives down the street be there?
  • Will our parents, our brothers and sisters and cousins be there?
  • Will our aunts and our uncles and our grandparents be there?
  • What about our children:  Will they be present there?
  • Consider all our co-workers.  Will they be there too?
  • And what about those who attend the house of worship with us.  Will we see them there?
  • Will the small children who we pick up each week on the church van.  Will we see them there?

There will be so many there:  Tens of thousands!  Hundreds of thousands!  A million!  A billion!  So many will be there that we may be unable to count all the faces; yet God knows who will be there!

Yes, that’s right!

  • God knows every name of every person who will be there because He wrote each name!
  • God knows those who He has made brand new!
  • God knows the ones who have called upon His name and who He covered with the sacrificial blood of His Son Jesus!
  • God knows who He has saved—He knows who will be there—with HIM!

Do We Know That We Know That We Know—We Will Be Present There!

The Apostle Paul explained with clarity what Jesus did, so that we too can be sure how we can be present there with God.

Paul told us how God breathes new life into each believer.

Paul was given the words by God Himself to write, so we may be present there.

“for “EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” . . .
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.”

(Romans 10: 13 & 17 NASB)

May we pause and try (as we might) to see God—who will be there among the mass of all those who will be present in heaven.

The Bible tells us how the crowd will be comprised of every tribe, every nation, and every color of skin.

Just Imagine:  Who We Will SeeThere!

&

Just Image:  What We Will SeeThere!

“And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying,
“Behold, the tabernacle of God is among the people, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them.”

(Revelation 21: 2-3 NASB)

May we pause right here and attempt (within our human mind) to grasp this scene.

“and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes;  and there will no longer be any death;  there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain;  the first things have passed away.”
And He who sits on the throne said,
“Behold I am making all things new.”  And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”

(Revelation 21: 4-5 NASB)

We Cannot Ever Believe the Devil’s Lies.

Truly, the devil is a liar!

He has always been a liar! &

He will always remain to be—a speaker of LIES!

BUT GOD—

OUR GOD SPEAKS WITH AUTHORITY—THE GOSPEL TRUTH!

OUR SAVIOR, OUR REDEEMER, OUR LORD, & OUR KING—HE SAYS:  “Behold I am making all things new.”

God became flesh for you and me!

God Himself came to earth to dwell among us!

What does that mean—to you & to me?

It’s almost Incomprehensible!!!!

Nevertheless, the Bible says it is true, so we must believe it, for it is 100% TRUE!

“For a Child will be born to us,
a Son will be given to us;
And the government will
rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”

(Isaiah 9: 6 NASB)

Let Us Imagine:  Who We Will See & What We Will See–THERE!

Then He said to me, [Almighty God revealed to the Apostle John these words]

“It is done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.  I will give [living] water to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.
The one who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My Son.”

(Revelation 21: 6-7 NASB)

Today, may we remember:  This cost us nothing, but this cost GOD—EVERYTHING!

ACCEPT IT!

BELIEVE IT!

CONFESS IT!

RECEIVE IT!

ALMIGHTY GOD—HE ONLY SPEAKS TRUTH!
