JESUS KNEW & HE STILL KNOWS
NO One wants to be a Judas, the one who betrayed.
NO One wants to be the thief on the cross, the one who did not believe.
NO One wants to be a Peter, the one who denied.
NO One.
NO One wants to be any of those men, BUT we are…….or we have been…….or we might still be…….those men.
Stay here a moment more. Have we ever forgotten who we were in Christ…..a disciple. Have we ever betrayed the One who is our Savior? Have we ever gone out into the night, instead of staying close to the Light?
Jesus knew what Judas would do at the Passover, after He had washed Judas’ feet. Yes, Jesus knew exactly when Satan had entered Judas.
“Jesus then answered, ‘That is the one for whom I shall dip the morsel and give it to him.’ So when He had dipped the morsel, He took and gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot” (26).
After the morsel, Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus said to him, ‘What you do, do quickly” (27)
(John 13: 26-27).
JESUS KNEW WHEN HE BROKE BREAD TO EAT.
JESUS KNEW WHEN HE WASHED THEIR FEET.
JESUS KNEW. JESUS KNEW. JESUS KNEW.
Jesus also knew, when there on the cross, the two criminals were hanging there beside Him. Jesus knew one would believe and one would not. Yes, Jesus knew exactly what would transpire on that Friday.
“One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him saying, ‘Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!’ (39).
“But the other answered, and rebuking him said, ‘Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?” (40).
‘And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong’ (41).
“And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!” (42)
“And He said to him, ‘Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise ‘” (43).
(Luke 23: 39-43).
JESUS KNEW WHEN THEY NAILED HIM TO THE CROSS.
JESUS KNEW WHEN HE HANGED THERE ON THE CROSS FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE.
JESUS KNEW. JESUS KNEW. JESUS KNEW.
Jesus knew when Peter was sitting in the courtyard, when Peter was confronted by a servant girl. Yes, Jesus knew exactly how Peter would react, when the girl said to Peter, “You too were with Jesus the Galilean” (69).
“But he denied it before them all, saying, ‘I do not know what you are talking about” (70).
(Matthew 26: 69-70)
JESUS KNEW WHEN PETER DENIED THE TRUTH TO THE SERVANT GIRL.
JESUS KNEW WHEN PETER DENIED THE TRUTH TO THE SECOND SERVANT GIRL.
JESUS KNEW WHEN PETER DENIED THE TRUTH TO THE BYSTANDERS.
JESUS KNEW. JESUS KNEW. JESUS KNEW.
- NO One wants to known as a betrayer.
- NO One wants to be known as the unbelieving thief.
- NO One wants to be known as the denier.
- NO, we do not want to be any one of those people, but we have (been them), & we are (them), & unfortunately, we will be (them).
- JESUS KNEW THEIR HEARTS BEFORE.
- JESUS KNEW THEIR HEARTS DURING.
- JESUS KNEW THEIR HEARTS AFTERWARDS.
AND, THE TRUTH IS….. - JESUS KNOWS OUR HEARTS (AS WELL) AS HE KNEW THEIRS.
- JESUS KNEW.
- JESUS KNOWS. &
- JESUS WILL FOREVER KNOW……OUR HEARTS.
