The WHY & The HOW…So Important
What we Give is important, BUT it is NOT Most Important.
What we Give is important, But WHY we Give is More Important.
What we Give is important, But HOW we Give is More Important.
May we always Give with the right motive…………..With the LOVE of GOD.
Let us begin with a question and an image. Close your eyes with me and see the faces of those people God has placed in our earthly walk. See also within your mind the faces of the ones God has given to you. Today, we are closing our eyes together to see these images……..collectively and individually. Thank You God for the many faces we see within our minds.
Let us now open our eyes as we live this day. Although it is early in this day, let us open our eyes wide, looking to the left and to the right so we might see who God places there upon our path. Let us see these one, really SEE them, right where they are, as they are today. Thank God for these precious ones You have given to us to see.
Let us kneel in prayer and realize who God places upon our heart. As we kneel to talk with God, let us lift up these ones He has given to us to remember. Let us be faithful to pray. Thank You God for the gift of others.
Let us……….Be Faithful Today.
Let us allow God to lead us Today.
I clearly remember who led me to see God. Maybe you do as well. In fact, there were several people. There are many who walked in faith to God, and by their faith, I too saw the truth of God. It took me fifteen years of life to turn to God, and during those fifteen years, there were so many faithful followers within my world to help me come to see God and to accept Him as my Savior. What if they had been disobedient to God’s will? What if they chose to NOT do as God led them to do, would I believe today? Would you believe today?
What if any one of those people said NO to God when He led them into our path, into our world, would we now walk with God as His child?
If you are reading this blog today (and if you are Not a believer), then possibly you can think of those people who your know are followers of Christ. Maybe you work with them or go to the gym with them or maybe they are part of your large friend group. Maybe you know believers who walk through life with you.
If you are reading this blog today (and you are a believer), then maybe you are THE PERSON the unbelievers are thinking of this morning. Maybe you are the faithful one.
If you are reading this blog today (and if you are a Christian, as I am), then maybe you (as I do) remember the faithful ones who spoke truth over you. Maybe you remember (as I do) the words those faithful ones spoke over you, both in person and within their prayers, and maybe you remember the faces of the faithful ones who led you to see God’s truth.
What if one of those people had chosen to NOT WALK IN FAITH?
What if one person had said, “No, God, I refuse to do as You lead.”
Would we still know Christ Jesus as our Savior and LORD?
Maybe.
Maybe Not.
There is a beautiful verse in the Bible, in the book of Hebrews. (Well, they are all beautiful verses). One particular verse spoke to me this morning. This verse spoke of those wonderful, faithful ones who said, “Yes, LORD,” when God said, “MOVE.” This verse reminded me of the faces of all the faithful ones in my past who were led by the Spirit of God to witness and lead me to see God’s Truth.
There are so many ways God leads us to MOVE. Maybe God leads us to Go & Maybe He leads us to Speak & to Do & to Be with & to Lead & to Work with & to Heal & to Bring to & to Pray for & to Pray with & to Take to & to Teach & to Feed & to Wrap Inside our Hug & to Facetime with & to Walk with Through & to Listen to & to Pick Up & to Talk With & to Drive Them To & to talk with through Whats App & to Sit with & to Read to & to Read with & to Show them God’s WORD & and to lead them through the plan of God’s salvation and……and……and…..and………………
Truly God’s list of possible ways we can walk in faith is endless. Yes, Thank You Jesus.
Walking within God’s will gives us so many ways to walk in faith. Yes, Thank You God for an amazing “possible” list of ways to serve You and to faithfully follow You.
The writer of Hebrews tells us: “Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you, and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13: 7-8).
I read these words: “Faith is always active,” and it is.
Love our neighbors as ourselves.
Be More like Jesus every day.
Be More peaceful.
Be More kindhearted.
Be More patient.
Be More self-giving & self-serving.
Be More loving.
Be More like Jesus today than yesterday.
The beautiful melody by Zach Williams—–“Less Like Me” reminds us of so many opportunities to Be More Like Jesus in today’s world.
It is a proven, historical FACT that Jesus gave up His life upon the cross at Calvary to ransom us. People were there, and history texts record this FACT. It is a truth that Jesus died. It is a truth——Jesus Gave His life for ours.
It is a proven, historical FACT that earthquakes ripped apart the ground, total darkness covered the earth, that the dead came out of the ground when Jesus took our sins upon Himself, when Jesus Gave His Life Upon the Cross of Calvary for Ours.
It is a proven, historical FACT that Jesus was removed from the cross and placed into a borrowed tomb.
It is a proven, historical FACT that Roman guards were placed at Jesus’ grave entrance, that a huge stone (too large for one man to roll) was placed over the tomb’s opening.
It is a proven, historical FACT that after three days inside the grave, God RAISED JESUS to new life.
It is a proven, historical FACT that those same Roman guards feared for their lives that they had not done their job in guarding the tomb, and it is a proven, historical FACT that those Roman guards were paid to lie about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
It is a proven, historical FACT that Jesus was seen ALIVE after His resurrection to new life, that he ate food with others, that he was alive on earth for many days.
It is a proven, historical FACT that Jesus Christ ascended to heaven while some of His faithful followers stood there amazed.
It is a proven, historical FACT that Jesus Christ sat down on the right hand throne of God & It is a proven, historical FACT that Jesus, the Messiah, will come again to earth some day.
It is a proven, historical FACT that Jesus seeks ALL People to Know Him as Savior and LORD.
That’s the gospel message.
Easter Sunday is coming. Those who believe, who have accepted Jesus as Savior, who have asked Him for forgiveness—-We Have So Much To Celebrate!!!
We are alive BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST LIVES!!!
We are alive & JESUS LIVES THROUGH US!!!
The WHY & The HOW…IS So Important!!!
Love is a verb.
So is faith…..It too is a verb, an action.
First we Accept that Jesus Christ IS who He says He Is—The Savior of the world.
Then we Believe Jesus at His Word, that He died and paid the ransom for our sins.
Then we Confess our sins and repent, asking Jesus to live within us as our LORD.
Then we follow God. Then we go wherever God leads us to go, and do as God leads us to do, and to speak to others as God leads us to speak.
Faith IS A Verb. Faith IS An Action.
It’s pretty simple. Yet, it is so amazing, and it is so beautiful.
Do not be afraid today and every day——-To BE more like Jesus, To LIVE more audaciously as the faithful follower God is calling us to be.
The WHY & The HOW WE LOVE JESUS CHRIST IS SO IMPORTANT.
The WHY & The HOW WE LOVE OTHERS IS SO IMPORTANT.
Let us love out loud.
Let us be beautiful (to others) when (in their future days) they close their eyes to recall the moments & the faithful ones that led them to their salvation. Let them think of us. Let them see us. Let them remember our faithfulness to God.
Let us be bold.
Let us be obedient.
Let us love others as Jesus taught us to love.
Let us BE More Like Jesus (and less like ourselves).
Let us be faithful followers of Christ Jesus.
Let us BE MORE LIKE JESUS………..TODAY.
