Last night was a fun night of basketball.  As we watched and counted, we witnessed a boy named Zack join the 1,000 club of high school students who score 1,000 points within their prep career.  To be sure, a few days from now, Zack and his coach will be brought to center court and presented an encased basketball commemorating this great achievement as Zack’s parents proudly watch their son from their place in the stands.
I was there, with others last night, counting down the 9 points Zack needed to reach this milestone, and then I remained in the gym to see Zack score even more points, going beyond the sought after number in order to win the game.
And off in the distance (at the far side of the gymnasium) stood a little drummer boy (Miles) playing his single drum, marking time (with great rhythm I might say) to beat out the heartbeats of time. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.

This morning, there is a beautiful question:  What is it that you do, THAT when you do IT, you will soar within your spirit?

Think about the truth of God in that single question.
I am so thankful for God’s Salvation.  Truthfully, I cannot imagine life without God’s presence, without God’s peace, or without the guidance of Almighty God.
Will you witness to someone who remains lost?
Will you pray for another who desperately needs healing?
Will you pray, asking God to give someone another day, another opportunity to come to Know Him?
What will you (and what will I do) TODAY while there’s still breath in our lungs and work in our hands—that when we do that which we are given to do—our hearts, our spirits within us—will soar?!!!

There is a reason for everything!  Do not be deceived.  God controls His universe!  True, He allows you and He allows me to make our choices, our decisions, and to also face the consequences of those decisions, BUT KNOW THIS—GOD IS GOD & GOD KNOWS!!!

In the beginning, God knew the end.
In the garden, God knew the destruction of the last day.
In the first spoken Word of God—God knew! & He will continually know who will serve Him, who will turn to Him, who will repent, and who will believe. Yet God gives us choice to decide.

Truly, I cannot fathom God, and the more thinking I do to wrap my mind around the goodness of God, the more God amazes me!
This morning I read the end, the last verses of God’s Word to humanity recorded in His Revelation to the Apostle John, and in reading the end, I thought of the beginning, the coming to earth, the Christmas story & the Salvation of God offered to us (to you and to me) through His Son.

Let’s read the end & Let’s read the beginning—together.

The End—Jesus Comes A Second Time.
The End—Jesus Judges.
The End—Heaven OR Hell—FOREVER!!!
THE END!
It is so truthful that today—Jesus could come.
It is so truthful that Jesus will come again!
It is the promise of God from the very beginning!

The prophet Isaiah told us so (as recorded in the Old Testament). 

“Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse.
And a branch from his roots will bear fruit. 
The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, [FATHER/SPIRIT/SON—3 IN 1]
The spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The spirit of counsel and strength,
The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. 
And He will delight in the fear of the LORD,
And He will not judge by what His eyes see,
Nor make a decision by what His ears hear;
But with righteousness He will judge the poor, [JESUS WILL JUDGE US ALL]
And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth;
And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.
Also righteousness will be the belt about His loins,
And faithfulness the belt about His waist [JESUS’ WORD, JESUS’ BREATH, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS].”

(Isaiah 11: 1-5)

I could copy and copy and copy the truth found in God’s Word.   This passage goes on to speak of the eternal peace that will be seen, felt, as ferocious animals lie down next to docile animals.  Can you imagine!!!
Can you see BILLIONS and lambs sleeping side-by-side, and when they awake, they do not devour, but they play, they exist together in harmony?!!! (Isaiah 11: 6-7)
Can you imagine a little boy leading along an animal great in size, one that outweighs him (the boy) by unfathomable poundage, and still the animal follows the boy’s lead?!!!
And not only that, but a toddler, a small, small child will be able to place his tiny hand into a nest of vipers and not fear!!! (Isaiah 11:  6-8)

IT’S UNFATHOMABLE!!!!

I am ready for that GLORIOUS DAY!
Mom says all the time:  “I know that I know that I know!
What about you?
Where do you stand—right now, at this moment?
Do you Know—that you Know—that You KNOW?!!!!
You can KNOW GOD—Right here, Right now!
Do not believe the words of this blog but believe the Word of God. PAUSE & READ—ROMANS 10: 8-10

Today, could be the day GOD has chosen from the beginning to return for YOU—&—for ME!
May we not allow ourselves to walk, marking time, but still walking within the days allotted to us to live but NOT REALLY LIVE!!!

The GREATEST TRAGEDY of ALL: Jesus will come, and Some (and You) Will NOT BE READY WHEN JESUS COMES!!!

Will YOU join the number, BE ONE-OF-THE-ONES WHO ARE READY—TO MEET JESUS?!!!
