“(I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth” (1 Timothy 2:7).

An apostle of Jesus Christ and 1st Century preacher wrote these words in a letter to encourage a young preacher.  

Timothy, a man who had a godly influence in his life from his mom and grandmother.  

Timothy received this letter of hope from his mentor Paul, a man who understood what it meant to now walk in the light of salvation.  

Paul wrote over and over, so often, about his transformation on the road to Damascus, telling how he suddenly saw the light of God and how he heard the voice of God speak to him that day as he journeyed through life.

So Paul wrote to Timothy (and to us), “I am telling the truth, [and] I am not lying” (7).

The TRUTH. 

NOT Lying.

The TRUTH—Jesus came to earth in humanness to save all people.

The TRUTH—Jesus walked through His earthly life in humanness showing us how to love, how to serve, how to meet the needs of our neighbors, how to totally follow God the Father, and how to love our enemies. There will be those who do not understand, those who struggle to see God because they stand trapped in the darkness and lies of Satan.

The TRUTH——Jesus was crucified upon the cross of Calvary.  JESUS freely allowed Himself to be nailed to the cross, and JESUS freely gave His earthly life.    In that moment, JESUS willingly took our sins (mine, yours, & the sins of all mankind) upon Himself in order to provide EACH PERSON a way to reconciliation, a way to His forgiveness for our sins.

FAITH  IN JESUS IS The ONLY WAY TO GOD.
The TRUTH—EACH Person must decide to accept the TRUTH found through JESUS——-Or——-the LIES found in Satan.
The TRUTH——Jesus’ body was buried in a borrowed, new tomb and the tomb was totally sealed.
The TRUTH——Roman soldiers guarded the tomb night and day.
The TRUTH——Jesus AROSE to life three days later and conquered death.
The TRUTH——Jesus provides the ONLY WAY——-for me, for you, and for all.
The TRUTH——-our death on earth is not the end.  After our death, we step into eternity—-an eternity spent forever in hell with Satan——or——In heaven with God.
The TRUTH——Jesus provides LIFE forever within the presence of God Almighty. 
The TRUTH——JESUS did not ascend back to heaven and leave us totally alone.  He left us His Holy Spirit to go with us through this earthly life, to comfort us, to sustain us, to remain with us, continually reminding us that we are secure in Christ Jesus. 
The TRUTH——JESUS is coming again for each one of us, for every single person, for all humanity. Our decision to believe in Him or to not believe will determine our eternal destiny.
The TRUTH——JESUS!!!

Let us not assume that everyone in our life has met the TRUTH found only through JESUS.
Let us remember today (and again tomorrow, and  then the next tomorrow) that WE may be the only person, the only believer, the only Christian who can tell a neighbor, a friend, a co-worker, a family member about the one true God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Paul wrote in his letter of encouragement to young preacher Timothy,

“This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.   For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all,  the testimony given at the proper time.   For this I was appointed a preacher; and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.   

Therefore, I want the men [and women and boys and girls] in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension” (1 Timothy 2: 3-8).

Jesus Christ—-The TRUTH that sets mankind free.Jesus Christ—-The TRUTH—-the Only way to God’s Saving Grace.
Today, may we Not believe the LIES spewed by Satan the Father of Lies,——-BUT——-may we instead believe the TRUTH found in JESUS.
