A Day To Behold—Let Us Be Found Ready!
I wonder . . .
What do they do in heaven on Thanksgiving? &
What do they do in heaven on Christmas morning?
Think about it. THANKS–GIVING.
Praising God—thankful—for all that He has given.
On earth, we bow our heads and pray, thanking God for His bounty, for His provision and care.
On earth, we sing praises, praising God for all He provides.
In Heaven & On Earth.
I wonder . . .Will we do the same on Thanksgiving Day—on Christmas Day—EVERY DAY in HEAVEN?!!!
Will we thank God MORE for His gift of Salvation—when we are standing in His presence!!!
Will we praise God MORE for His gift of Salvation—-when we look around Heaven, knowing this is God’s promise Forevermore?!!!
Will we honor and adore God MORE for His gift of Salvation—when we bow before Him in Heaven?!!!
I wonder . . .
Will we thank and praise God MORE in Heaven—than we do on Earth?
OR
Will we realize as we bow before God in Heaven, will we realize how we SHOULD HAVE PRAISED GOD MORE while we were alive on earth? ! ! !
As I sit here in the dark before the dawn, I am cognizant how THIS DAY IS ONE DAY CLOSER TO THE DAY I WILL & YOU WILL depart for home.
Truly. As a believer, as a Christian, our journey to home with God is 1,440 minutes closer—Today than yesterday.
On that DAY (our going home day) Jesus may come when we least expect Him to come—OR—We may be fighting a disease and expect Him to come any moment. Come what may, on that DAY, the moment He does come for each one of us, THAT DAY will be our LAST MOMENT & LAST CHANCE & our LAST DAY ON EARTH to praise and thank God—for others to see and hear.
LET US TAKE SERIOUS OUR WITNESS! THERE IS A GREAT DAY COMING!
When Jesus comes for us, we will NOT exclaim, “Jesus, give me one more day on earth,” nor will we wish for 1,440 more minutes here on earth!
NOPE!!!!
We will eagerly take hold of Jesus’ outstretched hand and happily and willingly and readily—excitedly praising and thanking God AS HE LEADS US TO ETERNITY IN HEAVEN!!!
HOWEVER, what if we are not ready for THAT DAY?
What if we do know Jesus as Savior & LORD?
It is a TRUTH—-If we do not go home to heaven BEFORE Jesus’ second coming, then collectively, the whole world of believers will collectively travel together home to heaven on That Day.
It is a TRUTH—-If we DO NOT KNOW JESUS AS SAVIOR & LORD—-we will bow before the LORD in fear and trembling on That Day.
Do not believe me (ever) but believe the Word of God as spoken by the prophet Zechariah.
“In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in the middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.”
(Zechariah 14: 4)
What A Day That Will Be!!!
Can you imagine what a sight that will be—the total splitting of the Mount Olives!!!
And we will be standing in the crowd of witnesses in the valley watching with awe as God splits this ginormous mountain!!!
BUT THAT’S NOT ALL.
Zechariah also prophesies, sharing—
“In that day there will be no light; the luminaries will dwindle.
(Zechariah 14: 6-7)
For it will be a unique day which is known to the LORD, neither day nor night, but it will come about that at evening time there will be light [because we will be standing in the presence of Jesus—the Light of the World].”
Can you imagine what a sight that will be—the light of Jesus illuminating both the dawn of the day & the dead of the night!!!
BUT THAT’S NOT ALL.
Zechariah tells us even more.
“And the LORD will be King [of Kings] over all the earth; in that day the LORD will be the only One, and His name the Only One.”
(Zechariah 14: 9)
That day—all the moments of That Day will be Amazingly Unique from any day we have ever experienced.
And we will PRAISE & THANK GOD—on THAT DAY!
How do we know?
Well, God gave the prophet Zechariah the words to help each person know WHY?
“In that day there will be inscribed on the bells of the horses [of God’s battalion], “HOLY TO THE LORD.”
(Zechariah 14: 20)
This is what we know to be true. Thanksgiving always ushers in the celebration of the Messiah’s birth on Christmas Day—the day God sent His gift of Salvation to earth as a babe.
Christian’s have such reason for JOY!
The Savior rescued us from sin and death and separation when we first Believed and Confessed our sins, proclaiming Jesus as LORD.
On that day, our going home day, we will raise our hands as we bow before Him crying “Emmanuel—God Is With Us.”
As Christians, we should be Celebrating and Praising and Thanking and Proclaiming to everyone (here on earth) that Jesus has come & Jesus Is Coming Again!!!
Today, help us look around us, this day the LORD has given to us to enjoy, and let us share the most magnificent gift—the gospel message of Salvation—with others.
My Jerusalem & Your Jerusalem may be different places.
My Judah & Your Judah may be different places.
My Samaria & Your Samaria may be different places.
Truly My Uttermost part of the earth & Your Uttermost part of earth may be different places.
Jesus has come to seek and to save.
&
Jesus is coming again for every person.
Let us take serious—for ALL the world to hear and see—
Our Thanksgiving,
Our Praising,
Our Witness,
Our Testimony to the world of people, &
Our delight in the Messiah—the Savior of the world!!!
