Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Let Us Believe! Come to God In Boldness

What struct me as so beautiful on this early morning was the way God sent Jesus into this world—to us.

Zacharias—

“Now it happened that while he was performing his priestly service before God in the appointed order of his division, according to the custom of the priestly office, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense.   And the whole multitude of the people were in prayer outside at the hour of the incense offering. . . .
But the angel said to him, ‘Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your petition has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will give him the name John.”

(Luke 1: 8-10  &  13)

We are—each one—chosen by God. As we perform our service to the Lord, God will hear our prayers and He will answer us.

Elizabeth—

“After these days [after the days of Zacharias’ priestly service] Elizabeth his wife became pregnant, and she kept herself in seclusion for five months, saying, ‘This is the way the Lord has dealt with me in the days when He looked with favor upon me, to take away my disgrace among men.’ . . .”
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb
[Elizabeth’s baby leaped];  and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.”

(Luke 1:  24-25  &   41)

When Jesus the Christ comes into the room, His Holy Spirit fills us.

Mary—

“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you;  and for that reason the Holy Child shall be called the Son of God. . . .
And Mary said, ‘Behold, the bondslave of the Lord;  may it be done to me according to Your word.’ “

(Luke 1: 35  &  38)

When we fix our eyes upon God, we recognize our place in relation to God, the Lord changes us.

Joseph—

“Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judah, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child.
While they were, the days were completed for her to give birth.
And she gave birth to her firstborn son;  and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. . . .
When He began His ministry
[when Jesus began His ministry],  Jesus Himself was about thirty years of age, being as was supposed, the son of Joseph, the son of Eli.”

(Luke 2: 4-7  &  23)

When we do as the Lord leads and follow Him in His timing, then we cannot help but see the miracle of the Lord given to us.

Humanity—Each of Us—

God sent Jesus into this world on purpose—for God’s purpose—to bring His Salvation to the world.
Jesus tells us Himself
.

“Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree [withered at the command of Jesus], but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen.
And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

(Matthew 21:  18-20 & 21-22)

“If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.”

(John 15: 7-8)

We must pray boldly.
We must pray without fear.
We must pray, unashamedly.
Jesus is righteous!
Jesus is Holy God!

He makes us righteous through His death on the cross and resurrected life!
We can come to the Lord with total confidence.
God loves us & God answers our prayers!
When we believe; Jesus tells us we will receive.
Jesus has made us worthy.
When we come to Him in boldness and confidence, He will do as only He can doPerform a Miracle!

Let us trust God.
Let us pray in bold confidence.

Let us stand amazed at the Amazing Grace of God!
Let us stand amazed at the miracle of life God will create.

For as the Bible proclaims—

He is the “son of Joseph, the son of Eli, . . .
the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the
Son of God.”

(Luke 3: 23  &  38)
