Hallelujah! We Have Been Set Free—May We Flee That Which Attempts to Control Us!
What has control over you?
What have you allowed into your being so much so that it now seems no longer foreign but more friend-like than foe?
What do others see within you, on you, from you, or even around you and think, “Well, that’s just the way she is”?
What has control over you?
What have you allowed (even seen coming and still allowed) to come into your life and now it’s so much there (an integral part of your life) that you see it as your new normal?
What—-has—-control—-over—-You?
PAUSE. . .
THINK. . .
REALLY CONSIDER. . .
WHAT?
WHAT HAVE I ALLOWED TO HAVE ITS WAY—TO HAVE ITS CONTROL—OVER ME?
Let us each pause to give consideration to our lives? If you are like me, “The Thing” that readily comes to your mind did not take more than a second or a millisecond to enter your mind (at least my “thing” came to my mind quickly).
Now let us ask MORE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS—-
Is “this thing” godly?
Is “this thing” healthy for my mind, body, and soul?
Is “this thing” from the devil and meant to destroy my witness?
Should I ask God to help me eradicate “this thing” from my life?
Would my life be BETTER, more JOYFUL without the presence of “this thing” invading my brain, my being?
Is my “thing” keeping me from growing closer to God?
Today (for the most part), I have written the word “you” when normally I use the word “us;” nevertheless, YOU is both singular and plural.
“YOU”—IS ME.
“YOU”—IS YOU TOO.
And WE BELONG TO GOD WHO CREATED ALL OF US.
YES, THAT’S RIGHT. GOD IS THE CREATOR of every man, woman, and child.
My body, Your body, Everyone’s body belongs to God!
Yet, everyone’s heart may not yet belong to God.
That’s God’s Gift of His Salvation.
Our bodies were created for the LORD GOD, & once each person gives his heart to God, then his body is no longer his to control, but do not believe me; believe instead God’s Holy Word.
“All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable.
All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.
Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food, but God will do away with both of them.
Yet the body is not for immortality, but for the LORD, and the LORD is for the body.
Now God has not only raised the LORD, but will also raise us up through His power.
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ?
Shall I then take away the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute?
May it never be!”. . .
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?[All of you & All of me—our whole selves!]
For you have been bought with a price:
[Jesus Christ’s death upon the cross,]
[Jesus, Who was raised to new life three days later]
therefore glorify God in your body.”
(1 Corinthians 6: 12-20)
