What Repetition Reveals. The ONE. The ONE. The ONE!
Almost every day of my teaching career, these words have come from my mouth.
“Redundancy hurts your writing because it reveals a lack of revision, a lack of proofreading, but purposeful repetition propels your focused purpose for writing.
I am constantly amazed how God reveals new truths to us as we study the Bible. This morning, I discovered a truth to dwell upon as this day unfolds.
God gave the psalmist purposeful repetition in the 115th chapter of Psalm, a wondrous repetition that displays the goodness and mercy of our Father and Creator and Sustainer and ONE who deserves our full adoration.
Please do not believe me but read Psalm 115 (yes, please read all 18 verses).
See God’s reminder (verse 1).
Psalm 115: 1-18
See God’s sovereignty (verses 2-4)
See God’s repetition (verses 5-7).
See God’s truth revealed (verse 8).
See God’s protection and power (verses 9-11)
See God!
See God!
See God!
See God’s provision & protection (again verses 9-12).
See God’s blessing (and again, verses 12-13).
See God’s promise (verse 14).
See God’s creation (verse 15).
See God’s omnipotence & omnipresence (verses 16-17).
See our ONLY response to God (verse 18).
See our worship of GOD (Re-read Verses 1-18).
As I reflected this morning, the melody of Tauren Wells filled my ears as he sang “All About You.”
One glorious lyric remains with me this morning—-
“JESUS, it’s all about…YOU!
JESUS, it’s all about…YOU!
JESUS, it’s all about…YOU!
JESUS, it’s all about…YOU!
JESUS, it’s all about…YOU!
JESUS, it’s all about…YOU!
JESUS, it’s all about…YOU!”
As I looked a second time this morning, the melody of Anita Wilson filled my ears as she sang “All About You.”
Listen today if you have opportunity.
“Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to Your name give glory because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth.”
(Psalm 115: 1)
There is no reason to ever wonder, “Where is God?”
He is Here. &
He is There. &
He is Everywhere!
(PSALM 115: 18).
“But as for us, we will bless the LORD from this time forth and forever.
Praise the LORD!”
SEE HIM TODAY!!!
SEE HIM TOMORROW!!!
SEE HIM EVERY NEW DAY!!!
THE REPETITION of GOD’S GOODNESS,
THE REPETITION of GOD’S LOVE,
THE REPETITION of GOD’S MERCY
THE REPETITION of GOD’S SALVATION &
THE REPETITION of GOD’S GRACE…
THANK YOU, GOD.
THANK YOU, GOD.
THANK YOU, GOD.
THANK YOU, GOD
REASON ALONE!
May We SEE & WORSHIP GOD This Day!
“Praise the LORD!”
(verse 18)
