Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

LIVE! The TRUTH Makes Us Free!

There once was a young boy who was good at the task his dad had given to him to do.  This young man spent much time alone, pondering life, tending the animals, and fighting off predators.
TRUST.
CULTIVATE.
COMMIT.
REST.  WAIT.  PATIENTLY WAIT.
DO NOT FRET.

This young boy was chosen from his youth, to lead, but still, he had to wait, to obey, to learn, and to be prepared (to lead).  He was not born into royalty, so he had so much to learn. There were those, the others, who did not want him to lead, those jealous and those angry and even those scared of losing their “rightful place,” so they fought against him, against his leadership, against his anointing.
CEASE, AND INSTEAD WAIT.
THE WAITING LEADS TO PROSPERITY.
YET, POSSIBLY NOT PROSPERITY AS WE KNOW—WITH WEALTH, LAND, & MAYBE THOSE ASSETS.
BUT, WITH ASSETS—WITH SOULS FOUND, WITH GOD’S SALVATION, AS OUR PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED.

This boy grew up, was educated, was instructed, and grew in the way he should go.  His dad hoped he was ready, and his LORD knew he was….ready.
BE HUMBLE.
BE SUSTAINED.
BE KNOWN.

As a leader, he fought valiantly, he won many battles, he took much spoil as he conquered the land from his enemies. With all this, he grew….in strength, in power & in popularity.
BE BLAMELESS.
INHERIT LIFE FOREVERMORE.
BE GRACIOUS.
GIVE.

He had so much to give, but that also meant he also had so much to lose.  In losing, he had a long way to fall.  He was a man, not God; therefore, he often lost his way, often sinned…..largely, but never did he lose his walk with God.
BE BLESSED.
INHERIT.
WALK WITH GOD.

He fell.  Yes, he stayed when he should have gone. &  He went when he should have stayed.  Why is it that he allowed Satan to lead (and why do we allow Satan to lead) even when he knew (as we know) that Satan is a liar. It is a FACT: Satan delights when we fall, when we take our eyes away from God, and when we follow our own lusts, our own desires.
Shame.  That came to him, when the Holy Spirit revealed his sin to him. This is the same for us, as shame comes to us when we do as we want, when we …..walk apart from God, when our hearts do not seek Him.
That is when the Holy Spirit reveals our sin to us, individually. That is when we can repent. That’s when we can turn away from the world and back toward God.

“The steps of a man are established by the LORD,
And He delights in his way.
When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong,
Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand.”

(Psalm 37: 23-24)

DEPART FROM EVIL & DO GOOD.
KNOW THAT GOD WILL NOT FORSAKE HIS.
HIS!!–THEY WILL INHERIT THE LAND.
HIS!!–THEY WILL DWELL IN THE LAND, FOREVER.

This young man sinned, yes, sinned large, but God did not forsake him; God did not turn His back on this man, for God knew him, this man.  God knew him because, already, earlier in life, the man had given his life to Christ.  The man was not required to DO what he could never do, to PAY for what he could never afford. The man simply turned toward God and sought His Salvation. Nothing more.  Nothing less.  God did the rest.

It is a TRUTH. GOD’S WAY is the only WAY!!!

God did not call him to “DO” more to obtain his salvation.   God’s salvation is freely given and freely accepted.

The man (when he was still a teenage boy) sought God.  God granted his salvation. God’s mercy was given; God grace was freely received.
God does the same for us.  The blood of Jesus covers all, one-time shed & once freely given.

Jesus’ blood covers all, the whole multitude of humanity. Jesus’ blood covers the multitude of our sins.  ALL!!! Yours.  Mine.  This young boy’s.
SPEAK WISDOM.  STUDY GOD’S WORD EVERY DAY. ASK GOD FOR WISDOM; SEEK HIS TRUTH. SPEAK WISELY.
SEEK JUSTICE.
HIDE GOD’S LAW DEEP WITHIN.
WALK ASSUREDLY AND DO NOT SLIP.
TAKE STEPS AS GOD DIRECTS.

“Wait for the LORD and keep His way,
And He will exalt you to inherit the land;
When the wicked are cut off, you will see it.”

(Psalm 37: 34)

The author of these verses also remains the young man described.   He was not perfect.  No one is…(perfect). God’s Salvation Restores Us, Completes Us, Sustains Us. Then God calls us home.
As I mentioned earlier, this man gave his heart to God when he was a young boy, and this man’s soul belonged to God….FOREVER!
Me too.  I asked Jesus to forgive me when I was still a child—15.
Maybe you too have sought Jesus.

Yet, Maybe you remain in need of God’s Salvation.

Seek Jesus today…..while there is still time.

“But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD;
He is their strength in time of trouble.
The LORD helps them and delivers them;
He delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
Because they take refuge in Him.”

(Psalm 37: 39-40)

God calls all to Him.
We choose to follow God, or we choose to not (follow God).
There is no middle ground.  NO!!!! It is a truth.

One decision changes everything!!!
Never can we ever DO anything…or…DO enough…or…BE good enough…or…live as we should….ENOUGH.

NEVER!!!

JESUS CHRIST ALREADY DID ALL THERE WAS TO EVER DO, WHEN HE WILLINGLY GAVE HIS LIFE ON THE CROSS—-WHEN HE RESURRECTED TO NEW LIFE. JESUS DID IT ALL…..FOR EACH ONE OF US.

Christ’s transforming power changed this boy and changes us.  When we believe and accept Him, when we confess our SIN and our dependence upon God, then we belong to Him……once & for all.
Then we walk with Him.
Simply Walk….as He holds our hand….as He keeps us upright….as we study His Word. Every page found within God’s Word reveals JESUS & the answer to every life question we will ever need answered.
God is our life…forever.
God is our abundance….for every moment of every day.
God is our power….all the power we will ever need.
Prayer Power.
Life-Decision Power.
Power in Jesus.
Studying God’s Holy Word….daily.
Learning.  Growing.  Memorizing.  Sustaining Life through Him.

Thank You, JESUS, for dying for David (the shepherd boy, the anointed king of Israel, the valiant warrior, the sinful man, the follower of God, and the man who sought after God’s heart   &   the author of Psalm 37 we read today).
Thank You, JESUS, for dying for me (the girl, the tomboy, the child who played hard, the daughter, the wife, the mother, the teacher, the friend, & for the one who loves God with all her heart, the child of God, yes, thankfully, God’s child  &   the author of this blog, the one who attempts to meditate upon God through the words she writes, through the words she posts).
Allow us GOD to work our schedules around You, only YOU.
Help us GOD to not try to squeeze YOU into our lives, but help us to live our lives for YOU.
And God, help us keep our eyes focused upon YOU, upon the salvation YOUR Son, Jesus Christ, provided (and still provides) for any who will turn toward HIM.
God, YOU sustain us;  YOU hold us;  YOU transform us;  &  YOUR gift of YOUR grace and YOUR mercy….Save Us. Thank YOU, JESUS.
Make us…Create us….into that which YOU would have us be.  This is our prayer.

As I studied today, as I wrote these words, there was a melody, one that goes like this—“We will trust in You/Whatever tomorrow brings/We will arise and sing/We won’t be shaken/We will TRUST in You/Yes, we Won’t be Shaken.”

Listen today to Building 429. Listen to this band as they sing the lyrics of their melody—“We Won’t Be Shaken.”

Today, Let each one of us—LIVE!

Let us know that GOD’S TRUTH, The ONLY TRUTH……Forever, It Alone Makes Us Free!
