Mmmmmmmmm.
Breathe In. Breathe Out. Ahhhhhhhh.
Oh yes, can we smell it, that most glorious aroma.
Ahhhhhhhh.
Mmmmmm.
Please don’t allow us to turn and walk away. We only want to step more into the room.
Mmmmmmm…..Breathe….Mmmmmmmm.
Never can we breathe in enough. Thank You—-Never do we ever need to walk away from this most amazing Love…..&….Grace…..&…..Mercy.
Never Alone!!!!
Never Forced to Face the Trials Alone.
No!!! Never Ever Alone, but Forever & Ever &
Ever & Ever &
Ever & Ever &
EVER RESIDING WITHIN HIS SWEET SMELLING AROMA!!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Thank You, Jesus. Yes, Thank YOU—Jesus.
Many years ago, there lived a newly married girl and her husband. They were young. They were in love, and they hoped to love long.
Cooking was not her strength, but his.
Patience was not her beat quality, but his.
Repairing Any Broken Anything was not her “cup of tea,” but his.
Keeping house perfectly clean was not her goal, but his.
Running…Playing…Scooping Up…Rounding the Bases Quickly…Driving…Reading…Studying. & Writing…..These were not his skills, talents, but hers.
Have we ever tried to fabricate the odor from a candle, let’s say the pleasing aroma of a baking apple pie OR that of dinner simmering in the kitchen OR the tantalizing aroma of a turkey in the oven on Thanksgiving day?
Candles Lie. Yes, you read that right. Candles do lie…somewhat. True, when we turn the label to read the proposed scent and then unscrew the lid, we do smell it……the scent of whatever odor has been created in the factory, poured into the jar, and capped for safekeeping until the wick is set afire, releasing the odor.
Yet, still the odor is like a lie because never has the kitchen EVER Smelled JUST Like mom’s kitchen Smells when she makes her homemade pies. No candle has ever smelled as gloriously wonderful as mom’s kitchen smells on Thanksgiving morning when she is preparing the noon meal for her family.
WHY IS THAT SO?
WHY CAN”T THE SWEET SMELL….be contained within a glass jar, only to be released when desired?
WHY? It is because….That one is a fabricated odor, prepared within a warehouse building, mixed together inside a vat, poured into a glass container, and then shipped to homes, to people who will enjoy the “fabricated” odor until the last fragments are remaining……
THAT TYPE OF ODOR IS STILL A FABRICATED ODOR & NOT AN ORGANIC, REAL, LOVE-CREATED ODOR.
Yes, the jar-filled smell of “Thanksgiving” will never rival the rich aroma of mom’s kitchen on Thanksgiving.
Neither will our pretense, our lack of faith, or our self-focus upon the beauty of this world ever match the glorious, matchless, perfect love of God.
NEVER!!!
NO NEVER!!!
Ahhhhhhhh. Can we breathe in, can we smell God’s Sweet Smelling Aroma? Mmmmmmmmmmm.
Let Us Pause Right There……..Within His Aroma.
Let Us Take The Sweet Aroma With Us.
Let Us Never Be Without God’s Aroma.
So wonderfully pleasing.
So wonderfully appealing.
So wonderfully inviting.
So Wonderful.
Peculiar.
One-of-a-Kind.
None Other.
Different.
Sweet.
Pleasing.
Pleasantly Calming.
Mine. Yours. Ours. All & Any Who Accept, Believe, and Receive. HOPE. That’s the sweet odor we take into our being, & what we share with others, & what the world craves!!!
The pages of God’s Holy Word are covered with God’s Hope. Breathe In. Hold. Savor.
Do not Ever, Ever, Ever Turn from Him.
No Release, but His Forever Holding….as We Are Held Within His Hands.
“Therefore having such a hope, we use great boldness in our speech, and are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel would not look intently at the end of what was fading away.
(2 Corinthians 3: 12-18)
But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains uplifted, because it is removed in Christ.
But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
But we all with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”
God’s Holy Spirit advises, calms, sustains, guides, leads, fills, and empowers God’s children to become God’s sweet aroma to this world. Let us be the pleasing odor of Jesus this world seeks.
“I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait,
(Psalm 130: 5-7)
And in His Word do I hope.
My soul waits for the LORD
More than the watchmen for the morning;
Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning…
HOPE.
LOVINGKINDNESS.
ABUNDANT REDEMPTION.
The SWEET AROMA OF GOD.
Help us, LORD, to reflect Your aroma to all we encounter today and again tomorrow and then the next tomorrow.
May we walk within Your sweet, pleasing aroma.
May others see Jesus in us.
“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me….I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.
(John 14: 16-21)
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.
In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”
Shape us, LORD, into the new creation You wish us to be; Fill us, LORD, with Your sweet aroma, so all those we encounter today, will see YOU Living Within Us & Filling Us & Shaping Us.
May we become Your sweet, pleasing aroma in this world…..Today.
May others see Jesus in me, in those who are reading, & in all believers…..TODAY.
Mmmmmmm………………….May We Inhale Him…..Hold……Release, as He Leads.
May We Breathe In….Receive….&….Remain Forever Mindful That HIS Sweet Aroma Permeates Our Being…….FOREVERMORE.
May We Exhale….Release….&….Remember That We Are To Be HIS Sweet Aroma Unto This World, ALL Because He First Loved Us, “and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and disclose Myself to him.” (John 14: 21)
