With Joy—the kingdom of God gives believers Victory
How often do you think about the return of Jesus?
- Daily?
- Only on Sunday?
- Hourly?
- Only when studying God’s Word?
- Throughout each day?
Moment-by-Moment, as you traverse your day, walking through each hour, with your Lord?
The man who desired wisdom from God above all riches, was led by the Spirit to write these words.
“If the clouds are full, they pour out rain upon the earth;
(The Book of Ecclesiastes 11: 3-6 NAS)
and whether a tree falls toward the south or toward the north,
wherever the tree falls, there it lies.
He who watches the wind will not sow
and he who looks at the clouds will not reap.
Just as you do not know the path of the wind and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman,
so you do not know the activity of God who makes all things.
[May each believer]
Sow your seed in the morning and do not be idle in the evening,
for you do not know whether morning or evening sowing will succeed,
or whether both of them alike will be good.”
Jesus tells us clearly how to live & where to store up our treasures. We are not to live for this world & we are not to strive to accumulate worldly trinkets. We are to live in light of Jesus’ return, His second coming. & We are to give our time and talents to evangelize and reach those who remain lost. Just as the seventy followers who were sent by the Lord Jesus ahead of Him, going two-by-two into the cities and places Jesus was soon going, we too (who believe & have been redeemed through Jesus) are empowered by the Holy Spirit to accomplish great tasks in Jesus’ name.
“The seventy returned with joy, saying,
(The Gospel According to Luke 10: 17-20 NAS)
“Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”
And He said to them,
“I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning.
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions,
and over all the power of the enemy,
and nothing will injure you.
Nevertheless do not rejoice in this,
that the spirits are subject to you,
but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”
- We must live for today and sow the seed of the gospel, while there is time.
- We must walk with Jesus, going wherever He sends us to go, while there remains time.
- We must talk to others, speaking of the mystery of salvation the Lord has given to us, while we have breath in our lungs.
We must rejoice, not for the way we are able to accomplish great things in Jesus’ name, but we must rejoice “that your names are recorded in heaven.” (The Gospel According to Luke 10: 20b NAS).
- Preach the Gospel message in the season of life the Lord has provided.
- Preach the Gospel message and watch the clouds, for Jesus is coming.
- Preach the Gospel message because today might be the day the Father calls us home.
Preach the Gospel, child of God. Preach.
“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness,
(The Letter of Paul to the Colossians 1: 13 NAS)
[Praise God!]
and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,
[Hallelujah!]
in whom
we have redemption,
the forgiveness of sins.”
Thank You, Jesus, with Joy—the kingdom of God—gives believers Victory!
