Each & Every Prayer
“All who dwell on the earth will worship him,
(The Revelation to John 13: 8-10 NASB)
everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world
in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.
If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes;
if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed.
Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints.”
The saints of God are called to PRAY.
We are to bow, lift our voices, open our hearts, and PRAY, asking in Jesus’ name:
- Dear Lord, guard our hearts.
- Father, protect us as we go.
- Yes, Father, send us where You would have us walk.
- Lead us Holy Spirit to those who need to hear the Gospel.
Father, thank You, for reminding us through Your Holy Word where the names of Your saints have been recorded.
We are so very thankful that this cosmic, spiritual battle has ALREADY BEEN WON!
YOU LORD, HAVE ALREADY DEFEATED THE ENEMY!
These wise words were given to us by Oswald Chambers—
“Prayer does not fit us for the greater works; prayer is the greater work.”
Therefore, we PRAY for:
- God’s wisdom & His discernment.
- His faithfulness to carry on to the end of our days.
- The protection God provides from the evil one who seeks to kill our testimony and destroy our witness. & for
- The Lord’s guidance as He reveals where we are to focus our attention.
The apostle Paul wrote to the young preacher Timothy these words of encouragement—
“First of all, then,
(The 1st Letter of Paul to Timothy 2: 1-6 NASB)
I urge that entreaties and prayers,
petitions and thanksgivings,
be made on behalf of all men,
for kings and all who are in authority,
so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God,
and one mediator also between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus,
who gave Himself as a ransom for all,
the testimony given at the proper time.”
We, the saints of God, are to PRAY “for kings and all who are in authority, . . .”
We, God’s children, are to PRAY “so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.”
We, who believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, are to PRAY:
- Every prayer breathed should align with God’s Word.
- Each prayer spoken should align with God’s Perfect Plan, “who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
