Praise the amazing work He has done
Each Christmas season, my sister prepares for the family to gather for the “Annual Christmas Cookie Making.” A few years ago, she even took t-shirt sizes from each of us so we could all have matching shirts; yet the shirts were NOT EXACTLY alike: the girls received one shirt with our slogan, while the boys received their own slogan.
Girls: Cookie Baking Crew
Boys: Cookie Eating Crew
Now, the girls decorated and ate their fair share of the cookies that year & every year since, and the boys decorated and helped baked their fair share as well. So, you might ask:
Why get ‘different’ shirts for different sexes?
From the youngest baby girl and boy to the oldest male and female, our shirt fronts remain specific to our particular sex. Again, you may ask: Why?
The Bible tells us specifically why!
“For you formed my inward parts;
(The Psalms 139: 13-15 NASB)
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You,
for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;”
Our daughter is currently pregnant, and the joy that brings to my heart is immense. She’s having a boy; that’s what all her ultrasound readings proclaim. We cannot see or hold the baby yet, but we believe the gynecologist who tells us that a baby exists. When we hug and see our daughter, it’s quite apparent that God is creating a miracle inside her. He is “fearfully and wonderfully” creating a human being.
AMAZING!
RIGHT? !!!
Soon, the birthing date will arrive, and this little baby boy will make his entrance into the world, and when he does, we will hold a precious baby boy, one the Lord placed inside his mother’s womb.
“I will give thanks to You, [LORD]
(The Psalms 139: 14-15 NASB)
for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; [by the ALMIGHTY LORD]
Wonderful are Your works, [the LORD’S work]
And my soul knows it very well. [LORD, I know it was YOU at work]
My frame was not hidden from You, [LORD, YOU see each of us, individually]
When I was made in secret, [fashioned by the LORD’S hands]
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;”
Where only the LORD can see, inside our mothers, that’s where the LORD created each one of us. He has gifted us with specific skills and abilities, unique to each one of us. When we make our Christmas cookies, we make many the same shape, re-using the same cookie cutters over and over. However, that is not the LORD’S way. He makes each one of us ‘specifically’ & ‘wonderfully’ & ‘uniquely’ different.
May we raise our hands high and praise the Father today,
for the amazing work He has done.
