Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

WE ARE TO GO, TO PREACH, TO MINISTER, TO TESTIFY—NEVERTHELESS!

“And he said to me,
[the angel who revealed this prophecy to God’s servant John, said]

“Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book,
for the time is near.

Let the one who does wrong, still do wrong;
and the one who is filthy, still be filthy;
and let the one who is righteous, still practice righteousness;
and the one who is holy, still keep himself holy.”

Behold, I am coming quickly,
and My reward is with Me,
to render to every man according to what he has done.

I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the first and the last,
the beginning and the end.”

(The Revelation to John 22: 10-13 NASB)
  • Maybe you are like me and want to know the end before you read the opening chapter.
  • Possibly, like me, you wish to know the final conclusion before you read the opening.

Now that we know two verses from The Final Message, let us see how the LORD gave his book to His servant John, addressed to us.

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy,
and heed the things which are written in it;

for the time is near.”

(The Revelation to John 1: 3 NASB)

Maybe, like me, you noticed a pattern found both at the beginning and end of the book—

The Revelation to John.

“for the time is near.”

We do not have much time.

Yes, that is correct.  Whether Jesus comes today for all the world of people OR whether Jesus comes today for us individually—We do not have much time.

Possibly, you find that last statement morbid or overwhelmingly grave;

NEVERTHELESS, IT REMAINS TRUE!

ALMIGHTY GOD, the Eternal—the Unchanging—the Omniscient—the Creator—

WHO WAS & WHO IS & WHO IS TO COME—is from whom this prophecy comes.

God offers His Grace & His Peace to us, to whom this prophecy was written. Therefore, on this first Day of Advent, on the day denoted by the Wreath symbolizing Life, let us light the Purple Prophecy Candle—Our HOPE.

As Christians and children of God, our old sinful ways are not to bind us any longer, for we are FREE in HIM!

We have much to do within God’s kingdom work.  Daily, He comes to us, to seek the laborers for His harvest work.  We arrive to his fields, we see all that needs to be accomplished, and it could be that we become overwhelmed by all the arduous labor.

NEVERTHELESS—

  • WE ARE TO GO;
  • WE ARE TO PREACH;
  • WE ARE TO MINISTER; &
  • WE ARE TO TESTIFY.

FOR LOST SOULS OCCUPY OUR SAVIOR JESUS’ MIND!

  • So, even though we will be ridiculed for our faith in Jesus.  &
  • Although we may be mocked for our walk with the Holy Spirit.  &
  • Since we just might be persecuted for our trust in God’s salvation.  &
  • Despite how we might be treated by those who do not yet believe—In Jesus Christ the Savior—

STILL, WE ARE TO GO, TO PREACH, TO MINISTER, TO TESTIFY—NEVERTHELESS!

“for the time is near.”
