Do I Know Why I Was Born?
“So because you are lukewarm,
(The Revelation to John 3: 16 NASB)
and neither hot nor cold,
I will spit you out of My mouth.”
Of late, I have become fascinated with the way the LORD orchestrates HIS Word to align, making it easier for HIS Children to know and memorize. Take for instance this Scripture passage the Lord Jesus Christ spoke to the apostle John during HIS Revelation to John. The words of the verse are colored in red, denoting for all the world to see they are HIS Words spoken directly to mankind.
AND take for instance another Scripture passage the Lord Jesus Christ spoke directly to HIS apostles. The words of the verse are colored in red, denoting for all the world to see they are JESUS’ Words spoken directly to mankind.
“No one has ascended into heaven,
(The Gospel According to John 3: 13-18 NASB)
but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man.
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.
For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish,
but have eternal life.
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world,
but that the world might be saved through Him.
He who believes in Him is not judged;
he who does not believe has been judged already,
because he has not believed

- Do I Remember Who I Was Before I Believed?
- Do I Know for Whom I Was Born?
- Do I Remember Why I Believed & Trusted Jesus as My Savior?
- Do I Live a Life of Complacency?
- Do I Understand the Lord’s Will for My Life?
- Have I Stopped Proclaiming His Gospel—His Living Hope?
The devil (Satan) is a sly, evil snake, even a ‘snake in the grass’ as the idiom states. However, the snake, the devil, does not slither along on his belly, minding his own business. NO!
- Satan knows the truth of God; the devil knows his time is limited.
- Satan knows the end of God’s Word.
- Satan knows the LORD will do as He promised—Satan will be bound in hell for all eternity.
Truly, the end is the end. Therefore, Satan deceives daily, tricking God’s created human beings into three actions—
- Believe the TRUTH of GOD could possibly be a lie.
- Be Unsure about the TRUTH of GOD, procrastinating, putting off a decision until another day.
- Allow for the possibility of the TRUTH of GOD, but also allow complacency & lack of faith & good deeds done in hopefulness reign, so—IF there is a GOD in heaven—then HE will accept my good deeds and invite me into heaven.
THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!
We can know that we know that we belong to God because God’s Word tells us so.
“For God so loved the world,

that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish,
but have eternal life.
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world,
but that the world might be saved through Him.”
NO ONE & NOTHING WILL EVER STOP GOD’S WILL!
Scoffers may be saying to all who will listen: “Where is His coming you speak of, that you believe?” Do not be deceived because Jesus will come with speed and terribleness for those who do not believe in Jesus.
SUPREME ABOVE ALL—THE LORD REIGNS!
Nothing ever occurs (good or bad) that is not allowed or caused by God.
WE CAN TRUST HIM!
The Bible says so!
GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY CANNOT BE SEPARATED FROM HIS LOVE!
Therefore, we must be followers of Jesus day-in-and-day-out, for we never need to fear that we live apart from Him.
JESUS IS NEAR—CLOSER THAN OUR SECRET THOUGHT!
The world surrounding us may ask: “Where is your God?” to which we must state with authority:
“OUR GOD IS IN HEAVEN!
OUR GOD IS HERE!
THIS IS OUR GOD—ABSOLUTE IN HIS WILL & INFINITE IN POWER!
HE IS WHERE THE ADVERSARY (the devil, Satan) CAN NEVER BE—IN HEAVEN & LIFTED UP!”
Thus, we must know the answer to this all-important question.
- Do I Know Why and for WHOM I Was Born?
Mankind was born to—Trust JESUS as SAVIOR & LORD!
- Do not live a complacent life, not focused on HIS Will.
- Proclaim HIS Gospel—His Living Hope!
- Do not become lukewarm, child of the LIVING GOD!
