Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

We are Created to . . .

“Why do You stand afar off, O LORD?
Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?”

(The Psalms 10: 1 NASB)

What is the one struggle you contend with each day?

What is it that comes to your mind each day as you arise?

  • Shoulder Pain?
  • Knee Pain?
  • Arthritis & Stiffness in your Hands?
  • Weak & Unwilling Hips that refuse to move as they once did?
  • Back Pain that shoots down through your left buttock & leg?
  • A Child who Struggles?
  • A Child who Remains Unbelieving?
  • A Spouse who seems to have fallen out of love with you?
  • A Spouse who just does not Believe in Jesus?

“Why do You stand afar off, O LORD? . . .”

Why do You not just heal me LORD; I know YOU are the Great Physician!

  • Do our struggles shape us?
  • Do our struggles change us & mold us?
  • Do our struggles actually heal us as the LORD leads us to be more like Jesus?

Why is the Lord silent—

  • When the innocent suffers?
  • When evil persists in the world?
  • When turmoil seems to come at every turn?
  • When troubles seem to come & come & come?
  • When the faithful proclaim God & are persecuted for their faith?

“Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?”

  • Are we doing our part, even during the struggle, even while feeling the pain?
  • Are we only asking questions?  OR  Are we bending down on our knees and seeking the LORD more, seeking & praying?

The Bible says the LORD’S thoughts are higher than man’s thoughts  &  the LORD’S ways are higher than mankind’s.

“For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?
Even so
the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.”

(The First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians 2: 11 NASB)

Therefore, we are created to . . .

  • Search God’s plan for us.
  • Seek Him, to talk with Him & even to ask Him questions.
  • Be amazed by God’s mysteries.

“Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice,
And be gracious to me and answer me.
When You said,
“Seek My face,”
my heart said to You,
“Your face, O LORD, I shall seek.”

(The Psalms 27: 7-8 NASB)

GOD—TOO GREAT FOR OUR FULL COMPREHENSION!

  • OmnipotentOmnipresentOmniscientALMIGHTY GOD—IS!
  • There will always be parts of God that are unknown to us, for we (mankind) are finite individuals.

BUT GOD IS—GREATER, ETERNAL, INFINITE!

So we do our part, doing what we are to do.

We are created to . . .

  • Wake up each morning and stretch.
  • Attend & Perform Yoga.
  • Tie on our gym shoes and Walk each day, using our daily walk to PRAY.
  • Schedule appointments with a massage therapist who will help work out the pain we feel deep in our bodies.
  • Bend our knees and PRAY & PRAY & PRAY, interceding for another person who just does not believe in Jesus.
  • Open our Bible and study what the LORD teaches.
  • Attend church each week and be encouraged.
  • Testify & Witness to the world about how Jesus has transformed us.

Yes, we need to continue doing our part, even during the struggle, even while feeling the pain.

“my heart said to You, “Your face, O LORD, I shall seek.”

Though not fully comprehendible—we know the mystery—fully believing, simply spending time in God’s Holy Word & trusting in God’s Amazing Grace—attainable through our faith in JESUS.

As the apostle Paul wrote to the Believers living in Colossae, We are created to . . .

“Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit,
so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,
that is,
the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations,
but has now been manifested to His saints,
to whom God willed to make known
what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles,
which is Christ in you,
the hope of glory.

We proclaim Him,
admonishing every man and
teaching every man with all wisdom,
so that we may present every man complete in Christ.

For this purpose also I labor,
striving according to His power,
which mightily works within me.”

(The Letter of Paul to the Colossians 1: 25-29 NASB)
  • May we be about our FATHER’S business.
  • May we do that which We are Created to do—Proclaim Jesus & Salvation that is found only through Faith & Trust in HIM!
  • May we remember—that despite the pain we experience, the questions we raise & the events of this world that we just do not understand—We are Created to—PRAISE & WORSHIP THE LORD!
