Do Not Believe Anything & Everything
The author of the letter was Jude, a bond-servant of Jesus Christ.
Jude was the biological brother of James.
This letter writer was the son of Joseph and Mary.
What this also means—Jude is the half-brother of the Son of God—JESUS CHRIST!
In studying about this man Jude, it is interesting to realize that Jude did not at first believe that his half-brother Jesus was who He said He was, primarily because Jude doubted the truth. Then Jesus was beaten, scourged, and crucified. Then Jesus willing gave His life and was buried. Still Jude did not believe but only believed his brother Jesus had died. When JESUS AROSE FROM THE GRAVE—ALIVE—Jude believed! Salvation is realized, is found no other way. A person must first believe that Jesus is who He says He is, and then in faith, the person is saved. History reveals how Jude did just that. Interesting enough, history also shows images of the man Jude holding an axe, which is quite interesting since these images also symbolize just exactly how Jude was executed—BECAUSE OF HIS FAITH IN JESUS!
The Bible is clear!
- Jesus is not just one of the many ways to reach God; Jesus is the only way!
The Gospel According to John 14:6 states this truth.
- Christianity—the belief that Jesus is the true way—an exclusive belief, proving how one cannot worship any and all earthly gods to reach the One True God!
The Acts of the Apostles 4: 12 proclaims salvation is found in no one else, but only through Jesus.
- There stands only one Person, one Savior, one Mediator between man and Almighty God!
The 1st Letter of Paul to Timothy 2:5 speaks this truth about Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
- The name of JESUS is above all names.
- Every knee will bow!
- Every tongue will confess!
JESUS CHRIST IS LORD to the GLORY of GOD!
The Letter of Paul to the Philippians 2:9-11 records the Gospel Truth!
May we testify, speaking to the masses who do not yet believe, who seem to be confused, who seem to want to believe anything and everything. Let us not seek the applause of man but let us seek the mercy and grace of God. As we walk through our days, the resistance against our faith in Jesus will be strong, as those who wander through this life—lost—push against us. This walk will be difficult to traverse because the world proclaims that we should only do what feels right, that we should believe anything and nothing at all. The world tells us to do whatever feels good to us in the moment, but do not be deceived.
In the Word of God, we see the truth revealed to us through—
- Joshua, who reminds us to serve no other gods. &
- Moses, who states there is ONLY ONE GOD! &
- The prophet Jeremiah who writes a discourse about the penalty of idolatry. &
- The apostle Matthew who speaks of the wide path to destruction & the gate to heaven is narrow.
THIS IS WHERE WE ENTER TO RIGHTEOUSNESS—ONLY THROUGH JESUS!
