Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Redeemed with the precious “blood of Christ”

“but with precious blood,
as of a lamb unblemished and spotless,
the blood of Christ.”

(The First Letter of Peter 1: 19 NASB)

Faith is a choice.

Faith is a choice.

YES, Faith is a choice!

FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST—or not believing, not having faith—a personal CHOICE!

Every single person

  • who lived,
  • who lives now, or
  • who will live if the Lord tarries His return to earth

cannot leave this earthly life without deciding:  What will I do with Jesus?

Jesus had to pay a price for you and me.  We stand under God’s judgment.  Both the prophets of the Old Testament and the apostles of the New Testament record this truth of the Gospel.  Rest in that God never changes.  Yesterday, God was as He is today, and Today, God will be as He is tomorrow.  UNCHANGING!  IMMUTABLE!

  • GOD HAS NEVER CHANGED!
  • GOD WILL NEVER CHANGE!

From the beginning of time, God knew the end.  Allow yourself to dwell there, sit in this thought, and allow the truth of God’s steadfastness permeate your being.

Father God did not need to arise this morning and turn on the news to understand what occurred while He slept.

The LORD did not need to stop by the market to purchase the daily newspaper to know what He needs to know about this new day.

NO, NEVER!

  • GOD.
  • THE LORD.
  • THE CREATOR—HE FOREKNEW EVERYTHING—EVEN BEFORE THERE WAS ANYTHING!

May we receive this truth—

“Behold, all souls are Mine;
the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine.
The soul who sins will die.”

(The Book of Ezekiel 18: 4 NASB)

Faith is a choice!

FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST IS A PERSONAL CHOICE!

Believing or Not believing

What will I do with Jesus?

Every single person cannot leave this earthly life without deciding.

JESUS WILLINGLY GAVE HIS LIFE!

but with precious blood,”

JESUS WILLINGLY SACRIFICED HIMSELF UPON THE CROSS!

“as of a lamb unblemished and spotless,”

JESUS WILLINGLY SHED HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD FOR YOU & FOR ME!

“the blood of Christ.”

I read a story of a mother and father who had a child who was overcome with sickness.  Friends rallied around them.  Christians offered prayers, hopeful the Lord would heal this sick child, would restore the child’s health.

“God means this situation for good,” was often heard; still the family hurt for their child did not get better, but worse.  The doctors did not know what to do, nor the specialists.  Time seemed to stand completely still.

Maybe our BEST work here on earth really does end in futility; however, when we place our children into GOD’S OUTSTRETCHED ARMS, then the FAITH we have in JESUS remains all that will ever get us through.

  • No parent wishes to bury his child.
  • No father wishes to out-live his son or daughter.
  • No mother wishes to hug her child goodbye.

Nevertheless, God knew when He sent His Only Son Jesus to earth, to die upon Calvary’s cross, the exact day this sick child would come home to heaven.

GOD FOREKNEW!

GOD ALSO FOREKNEW how a young lady sitting in the church would hear the pastor’s message, see the church family’s prayers, and give her heart to Jesus.

GOD KNEW!

GOD will use everything, even tragedy, for HIS GOOD, for HIS PURPOSE, for ETERNAL SALVATION—TO BRING THE LOST, WHO ARE WITHOUT HOPE—so they might come to know

JESUS AS SAVIOR & LORD!

  • The gospel is not superficial; the gospel transforms lives!
  • We Believe in the LIVING HOPE of JESUS CHRIST!

“knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things
like silver or gold from your futile way of life
inherited from your forefathers,
but with
precious blood,
as of a lamb unblemished and spotless,
the blood of Christ.”

(The First Letter of Peter 1: 18-19 NASB)
