Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

The “Prince of Peace” came to us!

“Therefore My people shall know My name;
therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking,
‘Here I am.’

(The Book of Isaiah 52: 6 NASB)

Do we live under God’s reign?

  • Do we give Holy God full access to all parts of our being?
  • Will we allow Jehovah God to direct all the steps we will take this day?

Does the fullness of God dwell within the wholeness of us?

“For thus says the LORD,
“You were sold for nothing and you will be redeemed without money.”

(The Book of Isaiah 52: 3 NASB)

God’s prophet Isaiah spoke of the time in history when God’s people were carried into Egypt into captivity, when the Assyrians oppressed them to rule over them.  The children of Israel, the offspring of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob were held in a foreign land, against their will.

BUT GOD REDEEMED THEM!

BUT GOD RESTORED THEM!

BUT GOD DID NOT FORGET HIS PROMISES!

BUT GOD REMEMBERED HIS PEOPLE!

“therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking,
‘Here I am.’

(The Book of Isaiah 52: 6b NASB)

At this time of the year (after Labor Day has come), we ready ourselves for the Autumn season.  Although we love the fall-like weather, the cool nights and mornings, away from the oppressive heat of the summertime, we look with anticipation toward the season coming, the time of Thanksgiving and the holy day—Christmas.

Most cultures across the world celebrate the Christmas season:  the gift-giving, the food shared, and the time when families gather together in homes all across the globe.  However, TRUE JOY does not exist because of that which mankind produces here on earth but because of WHAT GOD HAS DONE! for us.

“For a child will be born to us,
a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God,
Eternal Father,
Prince of Peace.

There will be no end to the increase of
His government or of peace,
On the throne of David and over his kingdom,
To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness
From then on and forevermore.

The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.”

(The Book of Isaiah 9: 6-7 NASB)

Across the world, all religions ‘strive to reach’ God.

BUT GOD—

SENT HIS ONLY SON to us!

  • Only Christianity speaks the TRUTH FOUND IN GOD’S HOLY WORD, the HOLY BIBLE!
  • Only Christianity proclaims HOW GOD CAME DOWN to us—to save us & to redeem us—THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, GOD’S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON!

“He made known to us the mystery of His will,
according to
His kind intention which He purposed in Him
with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times,
that is,
the summing up of all things in Christ,
things in the heavens and things on the earth.

In Him
also we have obtained an inheritance,
having been predestined according to His purpose
who works all things after the counsel of His will,
to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory.

In Him,
you also, after listening to the message of truth,
the gospel of your salvation—
having also believed,
you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
who is given as a pledge of our inheritance,
with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession,
to the praise of His glory.”

(The Letter of Paul to the Ephesians 1: 9-14 NASB)

The “Prince of Peace” came to us!

May we tell the world.

May we be sold-out for God.

May we live completely under God’s reign.

May we daily give all parts of ourselves to Him.

  • The blood of Jesus covers our past, present & future sins!
  • God heals us completely!
  • God’s presence makes ALL things right!
  • Joy came here on earth through Jesus, the Son of God!
  • The “Prince of Peace” came to us!

May we tell the world.

“Therefore My people shall know My name;
therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking,

‘Here I am.’

How lovely on the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who announces peace
And brings good news of happiness,
Who announces salvation,
And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!“

(The Book of Isaiah 52: 6-7 NASB)
