Believers, Remember WHOSE You Are
When we read the phrase: “in addition to all”, immediately our mind wonders about the one we are fighting. Paul left the mention of one’s faith until last when he wrote about the Armor of God, right before he told us—
Paul described the armor of God we are to wear. Daily, we are to place these pieces of armor on our body, for they give us “the strength of His might” as we go throughout our day. Never are we to step out of our homes without first placing these vital protective pieces upon us. In Paul’s writing of these necessary items, he reminds us in verse 16 WHY it is that we need to wear The Full Armor of God.
“you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”
Flaming Arrows such as:
- Doubt of WHOSE you are.
- The temptation to remain in your sin.
- Lies from the father of lies.
- Fear from the devil that the LORD will not give you strength to fight.
- Fear from the evil one that the LORD will not hear your prayers.
- Fear from Satan that the LORD will not do what He has promised to do.
- Whispers from the devil himself who tells us we are all alone with our struggle.
On & On, so many—“flaming arrows of the evil one” fly toward us, the children of God—
BUT GOD!
He has given us His “shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”
AMEN!
PRAISE GOD!
WE STAND IN HIS POWER & WE FIGHT!
Truly, child of God, we must never forget—
- Satan has a plan, one that never deviates, one that remains continually evil.
- Satan’s evil strategy is to terrorize every Christian.
- Satan wants to keep God’s children from experiencing the deep soul-satisfying peace we have received through God’s salvation.
- Satan wants to harass, hinder & defeat the Believers.
So, we must never forget, always remembering just exactly who we are fighting!
&
We also must continually & faithfully dwell upon what Jesus has done for us, for all who believe in Him!
Believers, Remember WHOSE You Are! & Do not forget. Ever!
The Bible tells us Satan has been & will forever remain—the defeated enemy!
We live in a fallen world, one where sin exists, and one where we (the sinners saved by the grace of God) reside until God brings us home. Until such time, we must—
- Daily share intimate time with the LORD.
- Daily study His Holy Word.
- Daily petition, praying for other Christians.
- Daily pray, interceding for those who do not yet know Jesus as their Savior.
- Love others as Jesus commanded us to love, serving as His hands and feet, seeing to the needs of our neighbors.
- Always remembering how we belong to God, how we have been bought with a price.
- Always thankful for Jesus & what it is that He has done for humanity upon Calvary’s cross.
- Continually remember—we are not called to walk in fear because God’s Grace & His Mercy sustains us in every moment of each day.
- Thanking & Praising & Worshipping the LORD who strengthens us!
