Be Dedicated in Your Service to GOD
The water in the pot is boiling; therefore, the water must be extremely hot.
The bags were packed and sitting near the door; therefore, the journey was imminent.
Therefore is a conjunctive adverb.
It connects what just occurred to that which is sure to occur next.
- We believed God in His Word; therefore, God saved our soul.
- We received Jesus into our heart; therefore, the Son of God became our Savior.
- We confessed our sins and accepted God’s FREE GIFT of salvation; therefore, God sealed us by placing His Holy Spirit in us.
THEREFORE ALWAYS CONNECTS TO WHAT JUST OCCURRED.
“For thus says the LORD,
(The Book of Isaiah 52: 3-6 NASB)
“You were sold for nothing and you will be redeemed without money.”
For thus says the Lord GOD,
“My people went down at the first into Egypt to reside there;
then the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
Now therefore, what do I have here,”
declares the LORD,
“seeing that My people have been taken away without cause?”
Again the LORD declares,
“Those who rule over them howl, and My name is continually blasphemed all day long.
Therefore My people shall know my name;
therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking,
‘Here I am.’ “
When God speaks, we can know exactly the plans He has for us.
Consider these biblical experiences—
- When God spoke, Noah knew the exact dimensions of the Ark that he was to build.
- When God spoke, Abram knew to pack up his family, his household, and Abram knew to go, to leave the land of Ur, and to walk toward the Promise Land.
- When God spoke, Moses knew how to lead the Israelites across the Red Sea & away from Egyptian captivity.
- When God spoke, Joshua knew just how to defeat those living inside the walls of the city Jericho.
- When God spoke, Daniel knew how to boldly live out his faith, even while living in Babylonian captivity.
- When God spoke through Jesus to Peter, James, and John, they laid down their fishing nets and followed the Son of God.
- When God spoke to Saul of Tarsus on the road to Damascus, the lost man Saul knew he was hearing the voice of God.
- When God spoke through Jesus, even while He was hanging on the cross, the prisoner believed God at His word, & the prisoner went to paradise that day.
- When God spoke to John who was banished to the island of Patmos, the LORD revealed His Revelation of the glory of Christ’s return and of heaven.
When God speaks, lives are changed.
When God speaks, always, people are given a choice.
When God speaks, hearts break, tears leak from our eyes, knees fall toward the ground, and worship of our LORD begins anew.
Thus
Hence
Accordingly
Consequently
GET READY—SOMETHING IS ABOUT TO OCCUR!
For this reason & For that cause & As a result—
“For thus says the LORD,
“You were sold for nothing and you will be redeemed without money.”
“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God,
(The Letter of Paul to the Romans 12: 1-2 NASB)
to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God,
which is your spiritual service of worship.
And do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
so that you may prove what the will of God is,
that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
