Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

DID WE?—WERE WE?—DO WE EVEN?—HOW MUCH ARE WE?—Questions We Must Ask Ourselves

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, . . .”

(2 Timothy 3: 16a NASB)

DO WE REALLY BELIEVE GOD’S WORD?  ALL OF IT?

  1. Did we take the opportunity to speak truth into the life of another—yesterday?
  2. Did we step forward, out of the crowd, to preach the Word of God—yesterday?
  3. Were we ready in the season of yesterday to speak of the goodness of God with those we encountered?
  4. Do we find that we can rebuke gently when another misunderstands?

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;”

(2 Timothy 3: 16 NASB)

DO WE REALLY BELIEVE GOD’S WORD?

—AND—

5. Do we speak exhortation over situations that seem out of control?

—AND—

6. Do we wait with great patience when another seems totally misled or confused?

—AND—

7. Do we dig into the Word of God, seeking the instruction we need, seeking the wisdom that can only come from God, & do we strive to share the Gospel message with clarity?

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
so that the man of God may be adequate,

[& so that we may be]
equipped for every good work.”

(2 Timothy 3: 16-17 NASB)

DO WE PURSUE JESUS &—NOTHING ELSE?

8. How committed are we?

“I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:”

(2 timothy 4: 1 NASB)

DO WE TRULY BELIEVE—ALL of the Biblewhat we read on every single page?

—OR—

DO WE ONLY BELIEVE—SOME?

I WONDER, DO WE REALLY BELIEVE GOD’S WORDALL OF IT, AS GOD’S INFALLIBLE WORD?

—OR—

DO WE ONLY BELIEVE—those parts of GOD’S WORD, those verses that are easy to BELIEVE, easy to FOLLOW, & easy to OBEY?

9. How faithful are we in our discipleship?

10. How grounded are we in God’s Word?

“I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus,

who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:

  • preach the word;
  • be ready in season and out of season;
  • reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;

but wanting to have their ears tickled,

they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,

and will turn away their ears from the truth

and will turn aside to myths.”

(2 timothy 4: 1-4 NASB)

******How much do we REALLY care about the people who are dying every day without the Lord?

******How much do we REALLY care?

  • Yesterday is gone.
  • Today has arrived.
  • May we bow in prayer; May we seek God’s will for our time; May we ask God to give us opportunities this day to share our testimony THIS DAY as we walk in faithful discipleship to our Heavenly Father!

“But you,
be sober in all things,
endure hardship,
do the work of an evangelist,
fulfill your ministry.”

(2 timothy 4: 5 NASB)
