Moments of Our Lives—What We Need to Remember
Imagine today is our last day to be alive. Would we be pleased as we looked back over our lives? Would we individually say: ‘I have lived well.’ OR would we consider all the ways and all days when we had squandered our time? God knows so much about—well, everything!
“You [FATHER GOD]
(Job 14: 5 NLT)
have decided the length of our lives.
You [FATHER GOD]
know how many months we will live, and how we will not live a minute longer.”
Stroll with me as we look at (a short list) of all the things—
God knows!
- The moment in time when He created the world, the universe, the planets, and the solar systems.
- The moment in time when He created first Adam and then his help-mate Eve.
- The moment in time when mankind first sinned.
- The moment in time when He placed Isaac within Sarah’s womb.
- The moment in time when He gave His Commandments to His chosen people.
- The moment in time when His children stepped through the Red Sea and into their freedom.
- The moment in time when He buried in the mountain His servant Moses.
- The moment in time when He led His children to cross the Jordan & step into the Promise Land & to fight the battle of Jericho.
God knows so much!
God knows what has already occurred all the days He created—&
God knows what lays ahead in the days to come!
God knows!
- The struggles of His children to be obedient when they encountered people who did not believe as they did in the land of Canaan.
- The ways the world followed false teaching and broken idols who continually led the world away from following Almighty God.
- The plight of the many prophets God sent to proclaim the day of the LORD.
- The silence of time that existed before God sent His Only Son into the world.
God knows the story of Jesus, His Only Begotten Son! &
God knows the crucifixion of the Messiah He sent to seek & to save!
God knows the tomb where the Roman soldiers laid the body of Jesus! &
God knows the serious truth why He kept Jesus dead in the tomb for three full days!
God knows the moment when He raised Jesus from the dead!
God knows the moment when He sent the angel to encounter the women early that morning!
God knows the way the apostle John outran the apostle Peter to reach the tomb!
God knows so much!
- The racing heart in John’s heart may have kept him outside the entrance of the tomb as Peter raced inside.
- The empty tomb and the confusion and fear in the apostle’s hearts—God knew that too!
- The way Jesus permeated through the walls of the upper room—God knew that too!
- The way Jesus built a fire to cook some of the disciples their breakfast when they went fishing after the resurrection—God knew that too!
- God knew all those who would see the resurrected Jesus before He ascended back to heaven!
- God knew Jesus would return to heaven, that Jesus would take His place at His right side, & that Jesus would intercede for God’s children throughout the days of their lives!
God knows & God knew!
There has never been & There will never be—a moment, a time, a day, or a season when God will not know BECAUSE GOD KNOWS ALL THINGS!
And get this—God knew before He created us whether we (you and I) would believe in Jesus & confess our sins to accept Jesus as our Savior!
So, I wonder why we become so easily excited when we consider a struggle or a worry or a fearful situation in our lives.
GOD KNOWS WHAT WE NEED!
GOD KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED, WHEN WE NEED IT, HOW WE NEED IT, AND EVEN WHY WE NEED IT! GOD KNOWS!
GOD KNOWS!
- When we struggle with sin!
- When we walk in disobedience!
- When we entertain a sinful thought!
- When we continue to turn away from His truth!
- When we struggle with disbelief!
That’s Right!
God knows & God loves us anyway!
God loves us JUST AS WE ARE!
GOD LOVES US ENOUGH TO NOT WANT US TO REMAIN IN OUR SIN!
God even knows (before we know) the moment we begin to struggle with any life situation!
GOD KNOWS OUR PAST, OUR PRESENT, & OUR FUTURE DAYS!
GOD KNOWS!
THE MOMENT of OUR CONCEPTION! &
THE MOMENT OUR LAST BREATH WILL OCCUR!
GOD KNOWS!
“Since his days are determined,
(Job 14: 5 NASB)
The number of his months is with You; [FATHER GOD]
And You [FATHER GOD] have set his limits
so that he cannot pass.”
“LORD, You have searched
(Psalm 139: 1-4 & 5-6 & 13-14 & 15-16 NASB)
me and known me.
You know when I sit down
and when I get up;
You understand my thought
from far away.
You scrutinize my path
and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before there is a word
on my tongue,
Behold, LORD, You know it all.” [!!!] . . .
“You have encircled me
behind and in front,
And placed Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too
wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot comprehend it.”
[TRULY, THERE IS NO WHERE
YOU & I COULD EVER GO
TO ESCAPE FROM THE PRESENCE of ALMIGHTY GOD!!!]
“For You [FATHER GOD] created my innermost parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
[So] I will give thanks to You,
because I am awesomely
and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.”
[MAY WE PAUSE RIGHT HERE TO PRAISE OUR LORD!]
“My frame was not hidden from You
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully formed in the
depths of the earth;
Your eyes [FATHER GOD] have seen my
formless substance;
And in Your book were written
All the days that were
ordained for me,
When as yet there was
not one of them.”
Every moment of our life, we Need to Remember How—GOD ALREADY KNOWS!
Therefore, let us begin now to let God keep us in the moment so we never miss what—GOD ALREADY KNOWS!
