Morning Thoughts

A walk through life toward eternity

Let Us Recall Who Walks With Us & Who Fights Our Battles

Life is a challenge.   One Challenge followed by
ANOther CHALLenge followed by
ANOTHer CHALLENge followed by
ANOTHER  CHALLENGE followed by……

Get the picture.   Oftentimes, the challenges of life become more daunting as we go through life, as we age, as we grow up in spiritual maturity, as we grow within our faith, and as we walk longer and farther in life.
For unbelievers and even for Christians, for believers, for those who have chosen to believe and accept the truth found in God’s Word, for the children of God who have accepted Christ Jesus as Savior and LORD———–FOR EVERYONE,……….LIFE CAN MOST DEFINITELY BE……….CHALLENGING!!!
Truly, no one gets a pass.  Stop Reading.  Place your fingers upon your wrist, right above your hand.    Can you detect a pulse?    That’s Good.  We are surely alive.    As we hold our fingers upon our wrists and feel the iambic rhythm of our heartbeat, as we quiet our breathing, and as we ponder God’s presence with us in this place & His presence within us, let us be thankful to God, for faith, for salvation, for life, and for challenges.     YES…..FOR CHALLENGES.

OKAY, Let’s pause and name out some of the obstacles, some of the challenges that seem to trip us as we go through life.
1.  Our Relationship Challenges.
2. Our Career Decisions.
3. Our Education Obstacles.
4. Our Health Scares.
5. Our Family Disagreements and Our Own Internal Struggles.
6. Our Household Concerns.
7. Even Weather Torrents.
8.  Our Marriage Commitment Struggles & Our Spouse Decisions That Harm.
9. Our Children’s Actions, Our Children’s Decisions, & Our Children’s Reactions.
10. Our Personal Addictions, Our Personal Sins, & Our Personal Consequences of Choices Made.

OBSTACLES.    CHALLENGES.    HINDRANCES.    &   DAILY PROBLEMS.
Not OUR favorite discussion, to say the least, but we need to remember that people are people are people are people are people.
OUR. We are ALL the same.    Therefore, we will all share in this one fact—-
OUR STRUGGLES.
OUR OBSTACLES.
OUR CHALLENGES.
OUR!!!!

We Are Alive—-Breathing.   Therefore, Life is Not Easy;    &
Maybe we should not expect it (LIFE) to be easy;    &
Maybe we should not be surprised when it (LIFE) is not easy-peasy;     &
Maybe we should, instead, wake up today and say, “Thank You God for waking me again so that I am able to stand and face this day and any challenges that may arise within this one day.”
The first three words of our prayer are so crucial—-“THANK YOU GOD.”

Many know the story of a Shepherd boy who was tending his dad’s sheep, working in the fields;  fighting against the daily threats that could bring harm to the sheep in his care;  and doing what he was called to do——tending his father’s sheep.    Then, the day came when his dad said, leave the sheep, go down to the camp, and check on your brothers, so David did——-As His Father Instructed.
“So David arose early in the morning and left the flock with a keeper and took the supplies and went as Jesse (his father) commanded him” (1 Samuel 17: 20).
David arrives at the battle camp, the one between Israel and the Philistines.
“Then David left his baggage in the care of the baggage keeper, and he ran to the battle line and entered in order to greet his brothers ” (1 Samuel 17: 22).

When David heard of the challenge, of the obstacle, of the struggle Israel faced—-in the giant Goliath, David immediately knew this was not merely a challenge or an obstacle or a struggle against his brothers and the Israel army. David knew he was there (on the battlefield) for a specific reason.    He sensed immediately God’s calling in that moment.
“Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has taunted the armies of the living God” (1 Samuel 17:36).

  • David left his sheep & the supplies with the keepers.  He did not allow his focus to be deterred, to be altered from the real task why he was there where his Father had sent him—-That’s Our Walk With God.
  • David was there to check on his brothers, to report back to his Father—-That’s Our Prayer Life With God..
  • David had battled other threats before and been victorious—-That’s Our Confidence, Our Trust in God.
  • David knew the battle was against Satan, the one who taunted the armies of the Living God—-That’s Our Faith in Almighty God.

Life is full of struggles and obstacles and challenges, but we are not expected to travel through life alone.
GOD sent His Only Begotten Son—-Jesus Christ, who came to become our Savior and our LORD.
Let us….Today….Walk into this challenge-filled day……Not Alone.
Let us….Today….TRUST GOD. & Let us….Today….Walk into our day WITH GOD.

“the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, “Give thanks to the LORD of hosts, For the LORD is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting;” (Jeremiah 33:11).

God is good—–all the time. Let us learn to trust God during the lighthearted times of life & during the dark struggles of life & even though our lives may not be filled with all easy things, GOD IS GOOD—-ALL THE TIME!!!

Let us trust God. Yes, Let us walk into our day fully Trusting God.
