How Do We ____________________________?
How do we live—with compassion—as Jesus taught us to live?
How do we walk—by faith throughout every day—as Jesus taught us to walk?
How do we keep our hearts focused?
How do we keep our minds available?
How do we focus on God’s priorities & keep our hands and feet willing and ready for God’s work?
How do we live as the children of God within the busy days, the busy time, we refer to as “LIFE”?
WE RELY UPON GOD!
WE ALLOW OURSELVES TO BE LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT!
WE TRUST & FOLLOW JESUS!
Habakkuk was a man, a prophet, and a person who saw the world in which he lived. He cried out to the LORD—
“How long, LORD, have I called for help,
(Habakkuk 1: 2-5 NASB)
And You do not hear?
I cry out to You, “Violence!”
Yet You do not save.
Why do You make me see disaster,
And make me look at destitution?
Yes, devastation and violence
are before me;
Strife exists and contention arises.
Therefore the Law is ignored,
And justice is never upheld.
For the wicked surround
the righteous;
Therefore justice comes out confused.
Look among the nations! Watch!
Be horrified! Be frightened speechless!
For I am accomplishing a
work in your days—
You would not believe it
even if you were told!”
Clearly, this prophet did not live in 2023; nevertheless, Habakkuk must have experienced a similar world in which we seem to live.
- Violence.
- Disasters.
- Devastation.
- Injustice.
- Wickedness.
- Confusion.
- Lostness
- Nation Against Nation.
- Frightened People—Speechless & Horrified.
So, how do we live as the children of God within this time, we refer to as “LIFE”?
WE RELY UPON GOD!
WE ALLOW OURSELVES TO BE LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT!
WE TRUST & FOLLOW JESUS!
- We keep our hearts upon the things important to God.
- We keep God’s priorities as our priorities.
- We keep our hands & feet ready to do the work in Jesus’ name.
- We rely upon GOD’S POWER!
- We love others, WITHIN GOD’S MERCY.
- We walk WITHIN GOD’S GRACE.
- We see with spiritual eyes—GOD’S VISION—for this world in which we live.
Once we are a child of God, we will never cease to be—a child of HOLY GOD!
Let us never become apathetic!
Let us LIVE FOR GOD!

WE LIVE FOR GOD!
See with me the way Habakkuk waited for the LORD’S answer & see GOD’S command to Habakkuk’s cry.
“I will stand at my guard post
(Habakkuk 2: 1-4 NASB)
And station myself on
the watchtower;
And I will keep watch to see
what He will say to me,
And how I may reply when
I am reprimanded.
Then the LORD answered me and said,
“Write down the vision
And inscribe it clearly on tablets,
So that one who reads it may run.
For the vision is yet for the
appointed time;
It hurries toward the goal
and it will not fail.
Though it delays, wait for it;
For it will certainly come, it
will not delay long.
Behold as for the impudent one,
His soul is not right within him;
But the righteous one will
live by his faith.”
