We Have No Reason to Fear!
Have you been with Jesus?
Have you loved God’s Son?
Jesus said to His disciples, plainly and not through figures of speech:
“On that day you will ask in My name, and I am not saying to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf,
(John 16: 26-33 NASB)
for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father.”
His disciples said, “See, now You are speaking plainly and are not using any figures of speech.
Now we know that You know all things, and that You have no need for anyone to question You, this is why we believe that You came forth from God.”
Jesus replied to them, “Do you now believe?
Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.
These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
Have you been with Jesus?
The answer: YES!
Have you loved God’s Son?
The answer: YES!
Since the answer to both questions is YES, then we are promised the Holy Spirit of God.
Since the answer to both questions is YES, then we are never abandoned until the day God calls us home to heaven.
“These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace.”
(John 16: 33a NASB)
Thank You Jesus for speaking these words plainly to Your disciples before your crucifixion, burial, and resurrection.
Thank You Jesus for giving us these words through Your Word, the Holy Word of God.
We will have tribulation, struggles, hard times, hatred from others, and even painful situations to endure.
“but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
(John 16: 33b NASB)
Thank You Jesus for speaking these words plainly to Your disciples
Thank You Jesus for giving us these words through the Bible, Your Holy Word.
We Have No Reason to Fear!
Almighty God is 100% in control of all situations, of all circumstances, and of everything.
But in order to know God’s inner peace, we must answer the question Jesus asked His disciples, and not only that, but we must also answer the question Jesus asked in the correct way?
“Jesus replied to them [replied to His disciples and asked], “Do you now believe?”
(John 16: 31 NASB)
True, God loves all mankind!
True, God loves all mankind so much so that He sent His only Son into this world.
Also true, God sent His Son into the world so that mankind might come to know and accept Him.
God will never take His love away from us! It is God’s promise. In fact, when we accept Jesus into our heart, then God places His Holy Spirit into us, to dwell within us, and to seal us until the day God calls us home.
God loves us!
Yes, God loves us—that much!
We love His Son and follow Him!
- May we (as Jesus’ disciples) reply:
“Now we know that You know all things, and that You have no need for anyone to question You, this is why we believe that You came forth from God.”
(John 16: 30 NASB)
- May we (as Jesus’ disciples) tell the world of people we will encounter today exactly what Jesus spoke to His disciples:
“for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father.”
(John 16: 27 NASB)
We Have No Reason to Fear!
- We who have accepted Jesus as our Savior.
We Have No Reason to Fear!
- We who have received God’s gift of His Salvation.
We Have No Reason to Fear!
- We who have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of God.
We Have No Reason to Fear!
“These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
