Resurrection Sunday Is Near—Do We Have A Personal Relationship With God?
“Am I a God who is near,” declares the LORD,
(Jeremiah 23: 23 NASB)
“And not a God far off?”
Today begins a season, a time when millions, if not billions, will fast as they abstain from food and drink, hopeful that in doing so, they will be noticed by the higher being for their keeping of the ritual.
However, during the month of February, we began a season of preparation, a time when millions, if not billions, feasted upon the presence of the LORD, realizing that the season leading to the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus was something that should not ever be denied nor missed.
Briefly, let us see the difference of the two seasons.
Wake Up.
Abstain from food.
Get out of bed.
Abstain from drink.
When hunger and thirst come, replace it with the reading of a holy book.
Today. Tomorrow. The Next Day. The Day After That Day. Over and Over—Fasting during the daylight hours. Sun-up to Sun-down. The question many ask: Why? The answer, given every year during this season of Ramadan remains the same: so the god of Allah will take notice and so the person will hopefully be saved at the end of his life.
Now, notice the differences found in the other season.
Wake Up.
Get out of bed.
Make a cup of coffee and pick up God’s Holy Word.
Spend time reading the Bible to know God.
Prepare breakfast, and before eating, bow to thank Jehovah God for His provision of food.
Today. Tomorrow. The Next Day. The Day After That Day. Over and Over—Feasting upon the Holy Word of God, memorizing, taking in the Truth. The question many ask: Why? The answer, given every day during this season of Lent leading up to Easter Sunday remains the same: because Jesus died upon the cross of Calvary & then arose from the grave. That is The Truth! Jesus laid down His life to provide the only way to know God and to be saved. Jesus Christ, the Savior of the whole world of humanity did that for each one of us. We do not need rituals, or set to-do lists, or even “hopeful” thoughts. We can know that we know that we know—God will come directly into our heart and save us! Not only that, but God will also place His Holy Spirit within us, to dwell within us, so that we will have His Guiding Hand as we walk throughout our every day. Then, on the final day of our life, Jesus will come for each child of God and that child will be led home to heaven where he will share eternity with Jehovah God. This is the TRUTH OF THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, THE CREATOR OF YOU & ME & OF EVERY PERSON ALIVE!
The prophet Jeremiah wrote:
“Am I a God who is near,” declares the LORD,
(Jeremiah 23: 23-24 NASB)
“And not a God far off?
Can a person hide himself in hiding places
So that I do not see him?”
declares the LORD.
“Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the LORD.”
- God is that close! Yes, that is a 100% true statement!
- God is close to us in every way! Again, that is a totally truthful statement!
- God is Omnipresent, so there is nowhere we can ever go where Jehovah does not exist! 100% TRUE!
- God is Omniscient, all-knowing, so that means He knows us, even before we come to the place where we desire to know Him! That is right!
- God is Omnipotent—All-Powerful!
HE IS THE GOD OF LOVE & OF TRUTH & OF SALVATION!
- There is nowhere “on God’s green earth” where we can ever go to escape Almighty God!
- We can ever exist away from our Creator!
- Moreover, there is nothing beyond God’s Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent Hand!
God created us, and God counted the hairs that He placed upon our heads!
God made us and then He placed us within our mother’s womb, counting out the days of our lives before even one day was given to us to live!
ALMIGHTY JEHOVAH GOD DID!
“Can a person hide himself in hiding places
(Jeremiah 23: 24a NASB)
So that I do not see him?”
declares the LORD. . . .”
The answer to the LORD’S question: NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
We know this is the definite “answer of TRUTH” because God Himself provides the reason why.
“Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the LORD.”
(Jeremiah 23: 24b NASB)
We are a few brief days away from Resurrection Sunday, a Christian celebration of a risen Savior. Christians around the world will celebrate the resurrection of the One who conquered death .
- Won’t we pause today, right this instance, and see how much God really does love His Creation!
- Won’t we pause today, right this instance, and bow our heads, asking Jesus to forgive us of our sins and to come into our hearts!
- Won’t we pause today, right this instance, and receive a personal relationship with Jesus that will last forevermore!
- Won’t we come to know Jehovah God, the Only One Who Can Save us—Today!
Jesus Christ (the Messiah & Savior & Redeemer) came to earth, to die for us, conquered death so that we might come to know Him as our personal Savior. Jesus spoke these words so the whole world might come to know the Only God.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.
(John 3: 16-17 NASB)
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.”
